Yeah, he just got punched through a cliff two pages ago, but I think this would hurt more. He's used to getting punched and slamming into things. This is almost certainly a new pain for him, if not an entirely novel experience for a human being in general. Well, in all of the history of humanity, someone has definitely had their radius and ulna wedged apart in a... I'm going to say fencing accident? Not fencing with swords. I'm imagining someone installing a fence and some other guy fell off a roof and got a fence slat wedged into his forearm. That or some peasant has gotten a gladius or a bastard sword slammed through their forearm and then the sword got twisted and then the edges stuck into the bone and the knight is trying to yank it out and the peasant is thinking "This land dispute between noble houses has really gotten out of hand, which is a slightly ironic way to put it because part of my arm and hand just flew off oh god the pain."

Tamer: Enhancer 2 – Progress Update:

Finished what I thought was going to be the final chapter, and yeah, the book needs at least one more so I can end on an action scene. Started in on that one, but I'm only like 200 words in. I spent most of the weekend working on the next nudie pic for the monthly Patreon pinup.

Technically if look close she also caused a partial comminuted fracture on the radius. He likely will need to use any juice he gets from her to heal.

PSadlon

She can aim to twang the tendons, though, which is where the nerves are.

Crissa Kentavr

Honestly, this hurts way less than you might expect. I dislocated the radius/ulna at my elbow joint back in High school. It was a full aching feeling that was maybe a 3 on the pain scale. Thought I just tweaked my funny bone. Didn't realize it was dislocated for about 3 or 4 days. By that point my body had just kind of....adapted? That was over a decade ago and it is still dislocated. Minimal/no impact to functionality. Was unable to do push things without pain for about 4 days, pulling was fine. The xrays certainly are fun to show doctors lol.

Kevin Temmer

heh, I wonder if thats where the inspiration came from

William Elliott

Having had my ankle dislocated, I can attest that something like that would HURT LOTS. Technically she didn't really break the bones, she just dislocated them from the joints they were supposed to be in, AND nearly poked a hole through his arm in the process [thats gotta sting].

William Elliott

Getting punched through a cliff only left bruises. This is the equivalent (as several have pointed out) to broken bones. No wonder he's down.

eddi_TBH

Looks kinda like she dislocated her finger doing that. As I’ve also done a similar injury to myself i can agree that it’s disturbing though not that painful to put it back in yourself. Though i can imagine Sydney getting a full body shiver from watching that happen.

Brett

Ummm.....OUCH!!!!! I got a cold sweat just seeing that.

Harry Williamson

Inflicting pain is merely a means to an end, the end being incapacitating the opponent without killing or maiming them. this is a great move in my book, since it's probably fairly easy to fix for a doctor (and significant healing time ofc).

Kiaraka

Hmm. That is kind of a villain move from Maxima. When your only goal is to inflict pain, that is neither noble or heroic.

Matthew Paulin

Gah! Hurts to watch!

Daikaiju

I had something like that happen at the elbow, snapped off the end of both the radius AND the ulna. The orthopods were impressed when they got the referral from the ER, and wanted to know how exactly I pulled that off (slipped on ice and fell on my elbow, they figure there had to be a rock or chunk of ice there for it to happen like that, I may have also hit the curb and just not remembered). I didn't sit there going owowowow though, I just lay there holding my arm going into shock. I could barely see. Someone else helped me up as I wasn't able to get up on my own at that point. They then called me a cab to take me to the ER. That was back in 2013. I broke my wrist on the same arm just last year, right before the pandemic struck. That was a simple break of the radius though, still ended up with a piece of metal in there. And of course, it was slipping on ice again. Me and half the damn city, the ER admin clerks said they should save time and just start filling in "broken left wrist" in advance. And all that still wasn't as bad as the a couple of the kidney stones I've had. Now THOSE fracklng hurt.

Eric Loken

There was an old martial arts manga that used moves like this. "Ultra Red" I think was it's name.

RanmaChaos

Yeah, but I bet you have to hit it a lot harder. I can just imagine Sydney popping her with an accidental nerve hit and her doing the "OwieOwieOwieOwieOwieOwie..." dance that we all know. All of ARC-SWAT's jaws fall open as she dances around... Then Max gets all embarrassed and we get to see what her face looks like in a darling tinge of Rose Gold! :P

Ian Brown

I do not think she broke the skin just push in and twisted.

Rob Wright

Yeah, a dislocated wrist is no fun. I learned that first hand back in 2004 in a motorcycle accident. In fact, that was just shy of two weeks over 17 years ago now.

Anton Schleef

Urrm, aren't there veins and such running down the ulna on the inside forearm, so did she just slice through them? I which case I would have expected much more gore and her hand to be covered in blood.

Ampws

Thank you/my apologies. English needs a word for that. My thankdolences?

Dave Barrack

A 34 year healed broken leg started to ache again when I saw this, so good work.

NickG

Arm hurts now, just looking at that. On the flip side, you really don't get much chance to write things like this too often. "This land dispute between noble houses has really gotten out of hand, which is a slightly ironic way to put it because part of my arm and hand just flew off oh god the pain." Well done sir. Well done.

Doug Northcote

How stoppable he is probably depends on his power level. At the colour he is now he’s probably far more vulnerable than when he was way souped up in the big fight

BlackDove

That's a way to make it hurt sure.. But will it really do that much to stop him? I mean the guy grew back a whole arm before. Sliding bones back into alignment shouldn't be hard in comparison and it's still violent by any definition so should this kind of move should power him up just as much as any punch or kick would if not more.

Aclys

Mother of God, WHY?! πŸ˜±πŸ’€ Also, I still volunteer as tribute, if you need a proofreader. Can't wait to see TE2. It's so close! Thoooon! πŸ˜‹

D.A. Lamont

Given how tough her skin is, no one realistically knows what color her bones are.

Dave Barrack

Ooops.

Dave Barrack

Maybe he should ask for Queensbury rules next time. Not that it would help much!

Andrew

It was a lot more common in history than you would hope, in fact it was one of the key parts of the most infamous of all methods of ancient execution--crucifixion. As the Romans practiced it, the victim was hung by spikes driven between the radius and ulna. Having the spike driven in was what Vehemence just experienced. Then imagine the excruciating pain of continued pressure as they hang by the spikes.

MGH

Not only that, but she probably hit the same nerve you feel when you bang your elbow.

Stephen Gilberg

As a Game Master for a Champions campaign, I will make sure to reference you to my players when they object to this new style of fighting. MWAHAHAHAHAHA!

Town Crier

So she doesn’t have golden bones too?

CyberSkull

THAT, is something Detla can learn. *edit* ...long fingernails? I get the use of them as a tool, but isn't it kinda problematic to make a fist?

akrasia

#971: Counting back-wards now? ;-)

Thomas Dorner

Assuming human-normal physiology.

Justaguy

Pressure points now with more pressure.

PSadlon

surrender or be Fingered!

Palmvos

From what I understand, he could heal injuries with enough violence.

Damaged

That below comic post has got me rolling! XD

Lord Crusade

Must be one of those moves that causes other opponents to flee.

Martin DrkoΕ‘

Part of pain is surprise. this move, would qualify as such. Also, as i understand it- stretching ligaments and tendons beyond normal specs is a 'don't do that!'
