Spoiler, but destroying Sciona's brain might actually do her in. She does have some pretty involved magical contingencies, but her most reliable ones would probably involve her having to abandon her human Super body, which she has become accustomed to. Not just for the Superpowers, but for the social and political power she's cultivated. In some ways, this is rather galling to her, as she is quite an "Alari are the bestest" racist. Really the only thing Alari have on humans is that growing your magic ability automatically grants those glowy wings. That's not a separate spell, that's a racial thing. Also they have extended lifespans, but that's as much due to their advanced medical tech as it is a racial bonus. Humans can learn all the same magic, will eventually invent or acquire equivalent technology and have the seemingly unique ability to tap into the Superion field. Fortunately for Sciona, and racism (or specism) in general, cognitive dissonance is alive and well in most sapient species.

All that isn't to say Sciona couldn't disguise herself as Isabella Mary Elizabeth Jesusina Concepcion Ferreira Marroquín, but she'd lose Escorpia's Super chemical concoction power, and she's gotten pretty used to them. Also, the fact that Super bodies are always in fantastic shape is a nice bonus. Not that she couldn't accomplish the same thing with blood magic and/or alchemy, but why spend the effort if you don't have to?
