BTS was literally out here saving lives with their first drop. S Korea has the highest student suicide rate in the world (10-19 age) and their songs addressing that pressure were so important to struggling young people.

That was until somebody played Ddaeng and Bapsae on repeat, and his rapping drew me in. Read the lyrics and decided to stan the boys. They paved the way, indeed. Excited to follow your BTS journey.

2023-07-30 18:44:28 +0000 UTCBTS started off hella strong and just got better and better and better. While somehow making sure not to lose their touch of individualism and that star quality that set them apart right off the bat.

2023-07-30 18:26:21 +0000 UTCThis just reminds me I need to hunt down a physical copy to finish my bts album shelf. My ATEEZ one has definitely overtaken it in volume because I have money now, but I didn't when BTS debuted and I was in undergrad haha

2023-07-30 17:54:05 +0000 UTCSame same OT7 because they all bias wreck me haha. That's one of my favorite things about BTS too. My mindset always runs right along with theirs whatever they talk about snd so often they talk about such important subjects with depth.

A lot of what the quality comes down to is innate talent and lots of hard work, but I think just as much is because of their authenticity. You can FEEL while listening that they mean what they say and the songs they write are about topics important to them. Which is sth that continues until today. (Also, welcome to the ot7 life haha - I haven’t chosen a bias either, I literally can’t.)
