ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED

I get this error every time I load in G8M. It doesn't seem to have any negative effects with G8M its just very annoying. Does anyone Know how to remove the error? here is the error log if it helps, I don't know how to use it to find the error.

Good news is, I solved the error. Bad news is I had to delete the morph to stop the error. I will attempt to recreate the morph leaving out the error this time and I will upload it when it is done. I will work on it tomorrow it is really late here.

The problem is, it is not asking for a morph, it is asking for a scene file that is not there. It got deleted a while back. saving modified asset had no effect on the error even with everything zeroed and memorized

TractorTech

Ok, so everything I have tried has not been successful in eliminating the error. The only thing I can think of now is to uninstall and reinstall Daz Studio. unless anyone knows of any other ideas

TractorTech

Ok, I'm not at home at the moment, but when I get home I will check it out and see if it will fix the problem

https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/479521/saved-over-base-genesis-8-female-morph-please-help This is for female, but works the same for male.

You have to load the g8 male and then turn on hidden properties. Set everything to zero, memorize, and resave as a support asset.

I even found a copy of G8M Basic on another drive and loaded it in and got the same error

TractorTech

When I open the file in Notepad++, I search the name and it doesn't find anything

TractorTech

Could you have incorrectly saved a morph when using that scene. That was something I did before, though I don't remember how I saved it wrong anymore.

I don't know how it happened, it just started giving me the error and I think I may have accidentally saved a scene wrong and not realized it when it happened.

TractorTech

Ok, I may try that and see what happens

TractorTech

If you're not comfortable peaking into the file as has been suggested, your best bet is to uninstall G8 Starter Essentials... make sure the files are removed and then reinstall it. Honestly, it's probably the quickest way to fix this problem.

I'm not even sure where to find it because I had to move my daz library to another drive because my other hard drive didn't have room for all the stuff I have

TractorTech

Just loading in G8M from the library

Look in your /People/Genesis 8 Male/Genesis 8 Basic Male.duf - open it in Notepad++ and look for that file name. Something overwrote your basic duf most likely. If it's compressed, change the extension to .rar and open it in 7zip or WinRAR and extract it. Or you can do it thru Daz, I don't remember how off hand. You can just extract the base duf from the base dim and copy it over to fix it, just back up the old one.

I'm guessing here, but it seems you might have saved some morphs at some point. Can you recall if you clicked on 'Save Modified Assets'? If so, you could incorporate these files into the base Genesis 8 figure. Furthermore, are you loading the base figure directly from Daz, or are you loading a scene subset that includes the Genesis 8 figure?
