Added 2023-11-13 15:18:46 +0000 UTCFirst off, I don't want anyone to think I am asking for any kind of donation, because I am not. I am just letting everyone know that my work and communication may be a bit slower than usual.
I need to let everyone know. I spent all day yesterday at the hospital with my daughter, she's 16 and has been struggling with depression and anxiety. Mostly due to everything she has had to deal with in her life before her mom and I married. Her biological father will not acknowledge that she is his, the guy who claims to be her dad refuses to pull his head out of his ass and be a dad unless it is convenient for him. Her mom and I have to be the ones to try and keep her from falling apart. To top it off she has been getting bullied at school and on social media by the same group of girls. The school has done very little to put a stop to it. It all finally got to her late Saturday night. After my wife and I went to sleep, she took more pills than she ever should and we didnt know about it until 7am Sunday morning and we almost lost her. Thankfully the pills were too low of a dosage and she didn't take enough that it was fatal, but it could have gone very differently. It was enough however to need to go to the hospital. We have done everything in our power to see to it she gets the help she needs to get better. she will be in a mental health care facility for the next 3 to 5 days or until they feel she is ready to be released. She chose to be put in the facility because she wants the help. things may get slow on my end for a few days, but I promise I have not forgotten about anyone. thank you all for every bit of support you have given and continue to give, you guys I could never express in words how much it means.

We are a strong, somewhat dysfunctional family, we will make it through this. Her and my son have both had it rough due to their other parents. I adopted my son back when he was 3 almost 4, he's almost 16 now. His mother was a junkie and her boyfriend was physically abusive to her. He witnessed things that no adult, let alone a child should ever have to witness. I have done everything in my power to keep these two children safe, but my reach only extends so far and the people who are supposed to be looking out for them while they are at school seem to be looking the other way.
