Announcement

I have had a few people ask me to do a video on the process I use for doing clothing and character morphs and such. I keep meaning to do it but I always forget to record the process., and sometimes it can take me a few days to get one finished and that would be a huge video file. I do have a few videos that I have already posted but I want to do a better one with a bit more detail. I will do another as soon as I get the chance. In the meantime Kelvin Jin on YouTube has the video that I followed to used wrap3 for creating character morphs and body textures. Most of you may already know Kelvin Jin as Shinteo on patreon. I will provide a link to the video I used for Wrap3 on his YouTube page.

The outfit is a simple fortnite Star Wars outfit for Luke Skywalker so there is not a major amount of work to be done

ok, I just finished recording a demo tutorial for fitting clothing to G8 figures it shows importing into blender, resizing the clothing model and exporting as obj. also covers the basics of importing and fitting in Daz as well as a small amount of dForce application. It is a rather long video so it will take a while to upload. I will post a link when it is done

also, most morphs don't work properly straight out of Wrap3. I usually have to take the exported morph back into Blender to correct the eyes and inner mouth and teeth. Then export it back out as the same name obj and overwrite the previous version. Sometimes I have to do it a couple of times back and forth from Daz to blender to make small corrections before I save it in Daz

Keep in mind, the video only covers the head and neck because most models don't a have full body under their clothing. if you do manage to find a model with the full body, it is best to pose it in Blender or another software if you choose to match the pose as close as possible to the G8 figure you are making the morph for. The closer the pose is top G8 the better the morph will be.
