Weekly Journal (October 27th)
Added 2025-10-27 17:20:38 +0000 UTCHello my fellow angsty legends in progress. Welcome to another blooper reel post. I'd like to apologize to anyone who is Russian here that is watching this. I don't know why this is the accent I was butchering while I set up production on this, but sometimes I just need to be silly before filming lol. 1000 pardons, hopefully it is humorous.
Thank you all SO much for the love on this video. As you'll see, this one has done much better than the last two and that is partially because the thumbnail and title are much more clickable but also because YOU all just keep on showing up for what I do here. So genuinely, thank you.
Not much else to say at the moment! I have a backlog to finish. So I'll be off to go do THAT now. I'm sure I can finish up in time with no stress whatsoever. ...*lights cigarette*

Personally I think a big reason that people want games with a smaller focus on strategy is because people are leaning less towards linear narratives and more towards games with “sessionability” (as games discover co calls it). Whether it’s because of handhelds like the Nintendo switch and the steam deck, or because of twitch streamers leaning more towards playing games that are more gimmicky and less linear, the games that receive the most successful marketing our games that are not linear “play once and done “games. And because the marketing for these games is more successful, it’s what developers are making, big and small. And if a trend is something that developers are following, it becomes a snake eating its own tale of it’s the only games around that gamers are hearing about and playing.
