December Update 2

Alright, yesterday was the nitty gritty - the "real" update that showed you how I feel on a daily basis. Tired. LOL 

But within that tired, I'm still trying. I'm trying to be present with my family, within my relationship, within all of my work social circles. There has been fun sprinkled in! COMPLETELY!

I'm just operating with a glass that is almost empty most of the time and know that I'm not the best version of myself. That doesn't mean that I'm mean in any way, I just don't bring the same amount of energy and fun to gatherings as I normally would and I have to kick my own ass to even get there. 

In December I over-committed - but that still brought a ton of joy and many smiles. 

I was invited to a Girls Naught or Nice party. I only knew 1 person but left with more friends. 

What I wore. :) 

I was one of the only people who actually brought a naughty gift. Which disappointed me. There were a lot of penis coloring books which......I mean come on! 

Me and one of my besties - she was the host. We matched on purpose. 

We even had our very own Santa. 

I had a lil couples Christmas with my partner and Big Tasty, it was great. VERY low key, just snuggled up, watching movies and presents. 

This lil monster got more gifts than ever, but she's 12 and despite my partner REALLY trying to get her excited she was kinda just ho-hum about the whole ordeal. UNTIL THE SNACKS CAME OUT. 

My mom made my partner a giant cosy blanket which he was in love with and never got out of the entire time he was at my place. Big Tasty liked it too. What cuties. 

My tree this year. 

I completely messed it up, and didn't attached the light strings before putting all the balls on. My partner had to go out and get extension chords, magically find the ends attach them all to a power bar to make it work. Thank god for him because I would NOT have had the patience. 

We also took a flight and a 5 hour drive to the most northern place in Canada that I've ever been to visit his brother. No one has ever gone to see him at Christmas despite him living there for 7+ years.

I can't share any photos of their family obviously but they were all great, I adore his brother and his girlfriend and wish they lived closer because I could see us hanging out all the time if they did. 

Everyone really loved all the gifts that I gave which makes me the happiest this time of year: 

I got my mom a new recliner. She has NEVER owned new furniture. Everything she's had has always been second hand. The chair she had was soft, cheap and shapeless and was hurting her back. 

So I got her a sturdy, well-made recliner. Not anything huge, to me it looks feminine even and it has a lot of support for her back. She loves it. 

I got my partner (and myself) plane tickets to visit Scotland in June to see Katie West and shoot Babefest 4. YAHOO!!!! 

And everyone was overly generous with my gifts. My mom got me both new luggage and new snow boots because both of mine gave up within the last year. And my partner got me a Cathrine D'Lish robe....which I have always wanted.

(I actually ordered it on a Black Friday sale and he stole it and left me the money for it LOL - but I still couldn't be happier it's SO divine!)
