I think this just shows that anything of material wealth or comfort, is completely irrelevant to her. The apartment meets the minimum requirements of a place to sleep, shower, and occasionally eat. The only thing Madison puts any value in is her physical abilities, and weapons. She's absolutly gorgeous, but that has zero meaning to her. Only her ability to stop criminals is important.
