Thoughts on "Lauren - Fashion"

Hey all!

Just wanted to let you know I've got a few more drawings planned for the Lauren - Fashion series. I really enjoyed writing the first one, you can probably tell since it's longer than the shorts that accompany my other drawings. The idea of her being a pampered "model" is so much fun to work with. So is her attitude towards gaining weight (cares less and less, even embraces it thanks to the love she gets from her fans), and clothing (not afraid to let it all hang out). Expect her to get a whole lot bigger (in both weight and height), and dress in even more obscenely undersized clothes.

Her dynamic with Tara and Curvy Kat is fun too. The poor stylist is in such a pickle--Lauren is too much of an asset for Curvy Kat to let go, but on the other hand she's a lot to handle and doesn't exactly fit the brand image. CK employs plus-size models and dresses them in ways that highlight their "best assets" (according to them) while covering the less appealing wobbly bits. Lauren breaks that mold--her hourglass figure has blown up to ridiculous proportions with her weight gain, causing her to spill lewdly out of anything they try to squeeze her into. She's hardly what they would call a classic Curvy Kat model. But she's just too much of a cash cow for them to lose, so all they can do is cater to her as she grows bigger, and bigger, and bigger.
