Bari Weiss's Terrible Substack
Added 2022-12-08 10:00:04 +0000 UTCWelcome to the If Books Could Kill Patreon! We're happy and grateful to have you. For our first premium episode, we're diving into the horrible depths of Bari Weiss's Substack, "Common Sense" (as a side note, we'll be inquiring with regulators about whether her use of that term is legal). Join us as we discuss three of the worst posts we've ever read.
- "Free Bird: On Elon Musk and Twitter"
- "Yesterday I Was Levi’s Brand President. I Quit So I Could Be Free."
- "We Ignored Salman Rushdie's Warning"
You can play the episode directly through Patreon or use our RSS feed to add it to your podcast app. Here are the instructions from Patreon. We really do appreciate the support, we're not exaggerating when we say we've been blown away by the reaction to the show so far.
Let us know in the comments if you've got suggestions for other sites of American bedumbening we should cover on future bonus episodes. Have a great rest of the year and see you next month,

I’d reallllllly love y’all to do a part 2 on Bari and specifically her content on trans rights…. It’s so gross. And Sam Harris too.

The title is a reference to this, and the book overall is one that is critical, but from the point of view of like an extremely liberal believer (which Rushdie was at the time). It's not actually about "Islam being satanic".
