We were able to meet a lot of cool characters as well 🔥 With all of that said though I am ready for a different scenario with our gang so I hope the remaining stories are just as good if not better. How are we feeling about them bringing Genkie back 👀

Yeah you’re right I shouldn’t have been too surprised lol The situation reminded exactly of HxH and I touched a bit on it for my outro but left that part out 😆 Likewise Genkai is a fav so I’ll get over it quickly!

2024-05-21 11:05:21 +0000 UTCYeah I guess I can’t complain too much since I did ask if Koenma could have done anything for Kuwabara so I guess it’s no different with Genkai lol It honestly was all tied up beautifully and was great story telling. Toguro’s end was a bit unfortunate. I just wished he could’ve communicated more openly with Genkai.

They kept mentioning the fact that you could have any prize you wanted if you won and it's not necessarily jarring considering the world they live in, but I feel like that's Togashi's thing. It reminded me a little bit of HxH (spoilers for anybody that hasn't watched it) when that certain character "died" and the MC went through that huge change and then later on you find out "she" is actually alive. With that said I love Genkai so I was happy to see her back anyways 😅

2024-05-21 02:47:24 +0000 UTCI agree about the Genkai part. I think she could have remained dead so it didn't seem like there were little consequences in the journey. I do like how death has been set up to be a bit fickle in this universe though, as our main character has legit come back from the dead. I also love the implication that Toguro planned this all. Inviting Genkai's successor to the tournament and killing her in order to bring out his full potential, but also knowing that Yusuke's one wish will be to bring her back.
