I'm trying to steer clear of anything TOO familiar/cliche fantasy with this world. There may be undead things out there, certainly, but that's not what's freaking the bunnies out on this occasion.

I have no doubt that 'wild' and untethered magic will be common down that. That said, it's odd that that apparently stone sword should have been front and centre of that last panel. I wonder if that's some kind of Wraith-killer weapon?
