January is over and first things first, the Cove Wedding DLC hasn't released. It was completed, but there are now two extra things that are coming along with the launch of that DLC. First, we're going to release the Step 4 lines for the voiced names! Your chosen name won't stop being voiced once Step 4 comes around, adult Cove will be able to say it. The second is that we're changing how the DLC builds are formatted to make them easier to implement on Itch where they're not added automatically like on Steam.
So there's some bonus things that also ended up in the works. But the release date will be announced very soon! With that said, let's get into the rest of the update.
Monthly Content Summary:
During January 29,000 words were written/drafted between OL1 and OL2, and 43,500 words were implemented between those two projects. It was a busy month with the Our Life: Now & Forever mini-demo launching and the final beta for the Cove Wedding DLC being released as well.
We posted previews almost every day here on Patreon showing off OL2 character content, various screenshots, new assets, and other miscellaneous things.

We got a lot done, but there's still plenty to do. We'll let you know as soon as we can when the Wedding DLC will be out for everyone!

2022-01-31 23:01:58 +0000 UTCDoubtfully, the voiced names were from the first Our Life game kickstarter and were picked by special backers. We won't be getting any new named voices for OL1 but I'm sure when we get a kickstarter for OL2 that'll eventually be some sort of backer/tier option hopefully to pick voiced names for the future game release

2022-01-31 22:09:17 +0000 UTCThey'd have to bring in the VO actors for the earlier stages in order to add new name options. Most likely it'd just be updated using the current names with Stage 4 Cove speaking those names.
