Our Life: Beta Build 1.0 (Full Wedding/Step 4 Voiced Names! PC, Mac, & Android)

Haha, what a fitting build number to leave off on because this is the very final beta for the Cove story. After this it's gonna be Derek Beta 0.01, which is crazy. 

But before we worry about that, let's wrap up this wedding. We've been working on finalizing and polishing everything. This new version should be much more on par with a complete release than the initial beta. If you find a problem that was missed you can definitely let us know about it!

And to add to the fun, we've also got the Step 4 voiced names to put in the build if you want! There aren't new options, it's just that the names from Step 1-3 now can be used all the way to Step 4. 

Save files from the main game should work with this beta build, but save files from older beta builds likely won't.

Voiced Name DLC (PC, Mac, or Android) 

Voiced Name DLC Instructions:

PC/LINUX/MAC:

1. Download the file from Google Drive

2. Extract the zipped file you downloaded

3. Open the extracted folder and copy the .rpa file inside

4. Open the folder of your current Our Life Build and find the "game" folder inside. To view folders on Mac you might have to right click the application launcher and select "view package contents" and you may have to open a couple different folders before you find the "game" folder tucked away inside

5. Paste the rpa into the Our Life "game" folder 

ANDROID:

1. Download the file from Google Drive

2. Extract the zipped file you downloaded

3. Open the extracted folder and copy the game/ folder inside (the whole thing)

4. From Android internal storage, navigate to Android/data/**package name**/files/ and copy the whole game/ folder inside there. The end path should look like Android/data/**package name**/files/game/dlc_voiced_names.rpa

* Note: You may need to grant your file manager app additional permissions to access the Android/data folder.

5. Fully close the Our Life: Beginnings & Always application and re-launch it. 

** For beta builds, the package name is ourlife.beta.apk (e.g. Android/data/ourlife.beta.apk/files/)

New Content:

• The Voiced Name feature now applies to Step 4 Cove
• The missing cut-in images and Kyra's formal sprite were added
• New voiced lines were implemented for Baxter
• A bunch of errors/typos were fixed
