The final full month of summer in the northern hemisphere is over, but it was a good one. These past weeks were the productive prelude to the upcoming launch of the Derek DLC ✨
Monthly Content Summary:
August was serious business. So much got done. It was the final big rush for Derek's DLC and I imagine it'll be quite a while before enough will be going on all at once to beat this amount of progress.
I outlined 14,400 words to complete the draft of Derek's DLC. And I properly scripted 57,405 words. That's 71,805 in total! I don't even know how that happened.
35,280 words worth of scenes were programmed into the Derek DLC build, which made up the latest beta that we released to testers recently. About 80% of the DLC is in that version. Though nearly 95% is written, we just couldn't get some of the scripts proofread/programmed this month.
The last three VAs for the DLC were brought on board and recorded their lines. Backgrounds, CGs, and new character outfits were completed. Only a few pieces of art are missing for the whole DLC. And the Coming Soon pages for Derek's DLC went live in August.
Plus, I posted an OL1 or OL2 preview every day. Didn't miss even one.

So yeah, that was quite a month! And September should be very exciting too, though for a different reason. Not nearly as much development work will be done because there's not that much left to go before it's time to focus on release prep.

It's by far one of the best games I've ever played. And from what I've played in the demo, I can see Our Life 2 is going to be just as great! So thank you for all your hard work and sharing all you do with us! It's exciting to see the game develop grow. I can't wait to see what's next!
