Month Beginning Post: August 2023 Plans

Hi again!

It's August. We're nearing the end of summer already and also the real, real end of Our Life: Beginnings & Always. This will be the final month where Cove James Holden gets any significant content development. Unreal. At least it should be a good time while it lasts. The bonus art is already very snazzy, haha. And, of course, Our Life: Now & Forever will still be coming along.

Monthly Content Plans:

The Wedding Night bonus Moment will have editing, programming, asset implementation, and testing done. There'll be another beta build with most of, if not all of, the story. Depending on how quickly it comes together, and how many errors are caught by testers, we might be able to release the finished version right before the end of the month 👀.

Another OL2 beta is on the way, too. That'll include the rest of Walks and more improvements to the MC term selection system.

And I do intend to get back into writing during August. But not just anything: in July I drafted a sneak peek into Step 2 of Our Life: Now & Forever! Before the crowdfunding begins, I want people to be able to see the growing up element of the story at least a little.

So, I'll be writing a few scenes from the Step 2 prologue soon. Screenshot previews will come out this month on Patreon, but it won't be added into the playable beta until September.

I might be able to share some previews of the OL: N&F trailer this month and snippets of the actual KS page. We'll see if that gets finished between the more major tasks.

That's everything! I wouldn't call this "back to normal" since a major release is on the horizon and that's not normal at all, but it's certainly back to real development work for me. It's gonna be a good month for beta testing with lots of smaller fun things to share as well.
