Alright folks, I appreciate your patience with this. The wide Patreon-based release of the Cove Wedding Night Bonus Moment is finally here 🥳️!!!! My God, we did it.
The most obvious and pressing bugs from the beta were fixed and the couple things missing were implemented, but this version might still have a few issues. We'll need to have a larger group of people try it out to be sure.
There is good news, though, because not only can the event be downloaded directly as usual but we've also implemented a Patreon-linked Itch.io build! As long as you claim the bonus story on Itch we'll be able to update the files with small improvements and you'll be free to redownload it without needing to re-subscribe to the Patreon.
You're also welcome to bookmark the Google Drive pages. Those files can't be updated later on like the Itch versions, but even if you lose access to this post on Patreon by cancelling your subscription you won't be prevented from downloading this version of the event from Google.
Things to Note:
This bonus event will be available on Tier 2 and up during the months of February, April, June, August, October, and December. It will be available on Tier 3 and up at all times of year.
The story has no voice acting intentionally and is an entirely separate build from the main game.
On PC and Mac you can load in a save file from the main game to bring all your information over into the Patreon story. The Android version doesn't let you load in a save file from the main game. There's not a way to do it on that system. If you don't want to load a save or can't load a save, there's a questionnaire at the start of the Moment where you can fill in all the important details of your life.
When it comes to how the story progresses, there's multiple points in which you can start the interactive makeout/sex scene. If you want to get into it as soon as you walk through the hotel door, you can- and the relaxing scenes can happen after. If you want to rest for a while and then have some romance, you can do that too. It's only once you've changed into pjs that you've gone past the point of moving into the intimate scenes.
You're welcome to leave a comment to report any issues that happen, but if you come across an error report screen, you can click the ignore button to keep playing!

For those having issues with Steam Deck: Hey I found a work around on my steam deck with a slight inconvenience for new players who can’t get past the keyboard glitch when starting a new game! Boot up a new game in desktop mode, and play that way till you get past the character customization screen. If you don’t have a wireless keyboard to connect to your steam deck, the minor inconvenience is you won’t be able to change the name (your last name will be called Last lol but there’s not a LOT of times your last name is mentioned anyway. It actually sometimes even gives me a chuckle), and you’ll also have to stick with a default voiced first name to choose from. Once you get past customization screen, you can then save at your first opportunity. You can play the whole rest of the game in desktop mode, or if you wanna play in regular gaming mode, what I did was opened a new game in desktop mode and saved at the first opportunity I could, and made that my slot 1 (or any slot you’d like that you can remember to go back to if you want to start over). Then once you have your save file you can quit the game and go back to gaming mode and load your save file. You can then play the rest of the game on gaming mode up until the hangman game scene in Step 2, where you may possibly have to go back to desktop mode temporarily for the next step. If you can’t get it to run in gaming mode by pressing Steam button + X to pull up the keyboard play properly, you’ll have to play the game in desktop mode to use the onscreen keyboard (or connect a Bluetooth keyboard). I can’t remember if you have to have the Steam overlay option enabled in order for it to work. If the on screen keyboard doesn’t pop up by pressing Steam button + X button, then overlay options will need to be enabled (I’m sorry, I can’t remember where but I found easy tutorials on Google on how to do it). The on screen keyboard may glitch a few times to where it won’t want to submit your option, but if it does that, just keep pressing Enter key on screen. Once you get past the hangman game you can save and go back to gaming mode. It may be a tad tedious to switch the modes on occasion while using gaming mode, but it is entirely doable! I’ve also found out how to play the Patreon 18+ moments if you have the game on Steam. After downloading the zip files, extract them and save them to your desired location. DO NOT save the extracted folder in the same location as the OurLife game files, as they for some reason clash with the game files and you will be unable to open via steam or the .exe main file. After saving to your desired location, once you want to see the 18+ Moments at ends of step 3 & 4, use the separate .exe file in the Patreon folder you saved. The Patreon DLC for some reason is its own game application, and will pull from the main game’s saves.

I remember checking out the demo for the game years ago, then a few days ago I decided to play the demo of Our Life 2. That left me wanting, so I spent a few days binging the original Our Life. It isn't often that something makes my heart swell with as much emotion as Our Life did today. Michiko (my character) truly felt like my own and I was fully invested in her story by the end. I'm very excited to try out the beta of Our Life 2 and check out XOXO Droplets as well. Overall, you've crafted an amazing universe that I expect to remain one of my favorites moving into the future.

Though, it is possible to use a dildo while being a cis male based on your choices. Some people might be uncomfortable using their own body for that even if they have it, or it's just for fun or a change of pace. We wouldn't assume what people want to do and take away options from them.

More space might be needed, the device might not allow it to install because it seems to be coming from an untrustworthy source, or it could be a separate virus scanner or firewall thing that doesn't let it load. I enjoyed every minute of it and couldn't stop playing. Also wanted to say (this is a little personal) but I didn't grow up in a happy household and I never really got to see a functioning happy and healthy family dynamic like this, although its been my wish to have that dynamic since I was a child. This game supplied me a glimpse of that, and helped sooth some wounds. Every step of the way I felt loved in this game, and that's a wonderful thing. Cove also helped me because I found myself relating to him, as a person who is also a crybaby and neurodivergent. I was so happy to see him collecting seashells and facts like I did as a kid, and then I was delightfully shocked to learn he was autistic (of course the character I would feel soothed by and relatable would be neurodivergent like me--why didn't I realize before the text said it??) Anyways, thank you so much again for making this game, I think this game helps to spread a little love in everyone's hearts and make them feel seen, heard, loved, and safe. I hope there are more dating sims like this in the future, and more wonderful games from you. When I download the file from itch.io, the file is empty, there is no save in it and when I click on the "load a save from the game" it direct me to the file saves but as I said it's empty. What's more, I have spotted some mistakes or incoherences (please note that I was a male with male genitalia in this run) : 1) "An unmistakable moan fell from OF your mouth, your body's natural reaction to what your husband was doing." 2) I asked him if he would agree to do it without a condom for once but I still got that sentence " Once you'd taken care of wiping each other down, and disposing of the condom, you ended up sitting next to each other on the bed once more " 3) "You rocked softly into him and stretch as close to his face as you could manage; Cove arched his body, reaching for you in kind" I'm tall and he's a bit taller than me, there shouldn't be that much effort made to kiss each other, correct? (I had the very same text when I said I was average in term of height). 4) After we both have removed our underwears, it is said that we "have a barrier between us". How so? Haven't we removed all barriers already? 5) Why are we taking a bath together wearing our swimsuit if we have already been intimate and seen each other naked if we chose the relax after entering the hotel room? Though if you don't mind, I have a quick question: I sped through part of the DLC to see if the lingerie issue was fixed, and I noticed that if I chose to not wear lingerie under my wedding clothes, I don't have the option to wear lingerie later, even though the questionnaire at the beginning says we can have the option to have lingerie if we don't start with it. Is this a glitch/bug, or am I misinterpreting the message in the questionnaire regarding lingerie? Thank you so much for all your hard work!! I'll never get over how beautiful this game is, and I'm really looking forward to OL2 😭

You could try seeing if there's permissions/settings that can be changed to allow these kinds of outside files to be downloaded. Or you might simply need more space to download it properly. Sometimes it says invalid when it really means it just couldn't fit.

I did have a question about the bonus moment, if you choose to take a bath first you can't choose to wear lingerie. Is that intentional? I noticed it when I was playing the beta but I assumed the option was just missing, but it still isn't an option and I didn't want to assume one way or another.

ABSOLUTELY. Thank you so much for creating this world, this story, and these characters. Cove and this game mean so much to me. They have been my special interest ever since I first started playing. I just can't possibly thank you enough. Although it is bittersweet that new content for this game has come to an end, it ended so beautifully. And the fact that it ended makes it even more special. I eagerly look forward to OL2, as I'm sure it'll be wonderful too. Thank you, thank you, thank you so much! ❤️

Errors I'm experiencing on PC is the game screen flickering black every couple moments but especially when I'm scrolling over choices, as well as the flickering of Cove's sprite. Not sure if anyone else is also experiencing something similar?

2023-08-31 01:05:27 +0000 UTCIt's here!!!!! 🥰🥰 I'm so so excited to play, thank you GB Patch! I'm not exaggerating when I say that this game literally changed my life. I was an anxious person - and played the game as such. Chose all the answers I would have if I were there, and it was lovely. Then, of course, I decided to create an absolute madlad of a character whose only motivation was 'is it fun?' I'd pick all the options that I thought were fun, most things I'd never do in my real life. Through this, I realised that I actually preferred playing the game this way, doing all the fun stuff. It also helped that the characters are such sweethearts and never really get mad with you for having fun. This was when I realised that I might actually enjoy life a little bit more if I lead it to have fun. It took a bit of time, but I eventually started making decisions just because they were fun and I ignored the nervous 'what if' thoughts. I realised that I didn't have to worry about things so much and I could just let loose and live life the way I wanted to. I know that sounds really cheesy, but your game genuinely helped me in my real life and I'll always be forever grateful for that and continue to support you in any way that I'm able. Seeing that this is the last ever installment of the first Our Life is a little sad, but I'm so glad to have been able to play it and experience such wonderful emotions and scenarios from it. It is nice knowing that the game and characters will still be there and I know I will be playing this game for as long as I live (such a drama queen (thanks madlad OC) (it's true though)). For now, I can't wait to be able to play Our Life 2 when it is ready. I even think it may become my favourite of the two, but OL1 will always have that special, life changing place in my heart. Thank you again, GB Patch. Can't wait to play! 💕
