Month End Post: October 2023 Wrap-Up

Happy Halloween to those who celebrate! And happy end of the month to those who don't!

I'm posting another big update today for the Kickstarter, but that won't stop me from doing the normal monthly wrap-up, though. It's been a memorable few weeks, so lets get into how it went-

Monthly Content Summary:

During October I wrote 25,800 words and drafted 9,450 for a total of 35,250 words. Not bad, though a chunk of that was for character bios used in the OL1 artbook instead of purely being OL2 progress. 12,300 words got programmed so we could release a beta expansion before the end of the month.

And speaking of the OL1 artbook, that was finalized! Every section was put together by the designer and I've gone over it/given approval. It's not gone out to people yet, but having that mostly checked off is a relief. I knew this was gonna be a month with less development progress than usual, but it wasn't as much of a stall as I thought. Things did get done in the end.

But, of course, I'm sure we know what the main content of October was, haha. The Our Life: Now & Forever Kickstarter launched and well exceeded the funding goal! I spent a lot of days managing campaign related stuff and did more GB Patch business work stuff than normal. I've also been trying to adjust to taking regular days off as well. All of that had a big impact on my usual progress, but it's all important.

And there we have it! As wonderfully wild as October was, I'm looking forward to everything calming down again. But we're not there quite yet, the final push for the Kickstarter has yet to come, haha. I'll talk more about that in tomorrow's post. For now, I'll say thanks for following along 🥰️
