It's worthless.. absolute trash. Crap writing, TRASH characters, and tacky animation that claims to follow the Descendents of hiccup and toothless. I still refuse to believe that. Because there's no way that those pathetic excuses for characters descended from such awesome characters.

The toy that hiccup pulls from the chest does in fact go on to appear in the baby hiccup flashback in httyd 2. And in other places throughout the second and third movie. And riders of berk came out 2 years before the second movie. And some people say the show’s aren’t canon. Lmao
