so in the how to train your dragon books, to become a viking, you have to sneak into the dragon's nests and get a baby dragon that is hibernating and bring it out to claim it and train it right? Well hiccup gets this teeny tiny little dragon that's the smallest one because he was so scared, and when it yawns turns out to have no teeth. So snotlout teases him and calls him hiccup the worthless with his dragon toothless. But then fish legs speaks up and says that snotlout had taken a dragon that was a monstrous nightmare, and only Chiefs or son of chiefs are allowed to have those and so the right to the dragon technically belongs to hiccup, and he should challenge Snotlout for it. So hiccup immediately asks him if he wants it to be fought with fists or Axes. I think snotlout also tells everyone that the future Chief is a coward just like he does in this episode. Long story short but I'm pretty sure that this episode of race To The edge is a Easter egg or a hidden nod to the original book due to that part of it which I think is pretty cool Also in the first movie when they are doing their first dragon training session with the gronkle, and fish legs start spouting off dragon stats, thats a reference to the books too. There are actually stats on all dragons that are in the original books between chapters which is also pretty cool.

2023-05-09 16:07:40 +0000 UTCAhh the 3rd movie. I prefer to not acknowledge its existence for a lot of reasons, and valka is obviously strong but that punch was something his father was more likely to hand out lol. For me it reminds me of when he just destroys drago in 1v1 in the 2nd movie

I saw a comment on a yt vid saying "His father's genes kicked in" lmao Also you said tmr is the 2 parter but I'm pretty sure there's another episode before the 2 parter. You could do all 3 tmr which isn't a bad idea because all 3 go hand in hand together.
