2023-06-08 16:11:43 +0000 UTCThe voice actors really popped off on this one... especially America Ferrera (Astrid) and Zac Pearlman (Snotlout). Also this is one of the very few episodes where absolutely nothing in it is related to the main plot. It's just a fun episode. That is other than the small talk Hiccup and Stoick have about Viggo. Also I 100% agree about the creativity of the shadow-wings. The writers literally come up with so many cool different dragon concepts. Like for the shadow-wings, they created a dragon that relies on mutualism to survive like in nature. It's a very cool concept. Another thing I love is how the animators give each of the dragons different expressions. Like you can easily tell what all the riders' dragons were thinking of their riders. Hookfang is a mixture of confused/appalled, Stormfly and Meatlug are both concerned, Windshear is confused and Barf and Belch are so over it. Attention to detail!
