Some studio (probably Disney) is gonna make a movie whose script is fully AI generated just watch. The end of creative movie ideas is dawning upon us. It's just gonna be a live-action remake situation at this rate. Hopefully, the strike is resolved and both parties get what they want.

Once a movie leaves theaters they don’t make money form it anymore most of those royalties from streaming go straight to the companies. At the end of 2023 the head actress of Orange is the new Black made $30 total over the entire year from royalties from the show on streaming. That’s why the strike is happening. Also some are going on strike cause compiles are using AI to write scripts for shows and movies.

2023-08-08 07:37:57 +0000 UTCI've heard mixed opinions on this strike ranging from they aren't underpaid to they are really underpaid. I'm assuming it's a mix of both. Some studios underpay their writers whereas others are treated fine but this strike hopefully results in higher-quality output.
