OL2: Beta Build 1.4.9 ✏️ (PC, Mac, Android)
Added 2024-10-29 18:02:50 +0000 UTCWe did it 🥳️!! It's a double beta update in one month. You can now hang out some more with fourteen-year-old Qiu. Earlier this month, Part 2 of Trick or Treat came out. That's also in this build.
I will say that I haven't been able to add any suggestions people have made for these newer scenes yet, but they will be worked on when I have a little more time!

Screenshots can't be posted, videos can't be uploaded, even discussing what occurs in the events publicly is not allowed and will get your access to future builds revoked.
You can do all of those things within the private GB Patch Discord server or leave your feedback as a comment.

And since we've had some problems in the past with so many people downloading beta builds that they get locked out by Google Drive, I've uploaded mirror builds! If the first ones listed don't work, you can try these.

Or you can bypass the quota by logging in to a Google Drive account, then on the file's download page, click "Add shortcut to Drive" in the upper right corner. Save it to your Drive, then create a new folder, put it inside, and download the folder!
Save files from the prior beta should work in this beta!

2024-10-30 18:03:36 +0000 UTCI'm glad I waited to play both Tamarack and Qiu's intros in the same playthroughs (I hate playing favorites, it makes me feel like a bad person, LOL). For some reason, it was this playthrough that it occurred to me that Tamarack becoming a celloist can link back to her talking about how "music is magic" as a little girl, and oh, that is so precious. She's precious. Also, the discomfort of hating your friend's parents for treating your friend poorly while also being aware that you hate someone your friend loves is so real. And Qiu's intro is so funny and so sad. I do not appreciate you reminding me of the awkwardness of trying to figure out your gender identity/sexuality at 14! But also, the cheerful "Amazing! We're in the same circle of Hell!" took me out.

Oh and a small little error I got: I had the line "seeing Qiu from below was still something you had to get used to" - but my MC has become very tall, so it should be the other way around - he now sees Qiu "from above" as he's taller than them.
