Well, Vianca makes a strong first impression, haha. And what a nickname concept!

Side note, this scene won't go just like this if the MC has changed their identity at the start of S2. Ms. Vianca will need to speak with MC about that immediately.

via “Hi, [Serenity, Tam-attack/Serenity, Tam-attack, and [first_name]].” #if mc girl/partially girl and didn’t change identity at start of step

“Yeah, she said Tamarack’s name wrong on purpose. Vianca met your neighbor in 6th grade, when Tamarack was a little wilder. Vianca had never, ever let that go, much to Tamarack’s embarrassment.” 

“[Funnily/Unfortunately], Tamarack found the thought of asking Vianca to stop calling her that even more humiliating.” #if rude or teasing or neither

“One thing was for sure, though, “Serenity and Tam-attack” [made you want to laugh/was memorable].[ It could be a sitcom or cartoon.]” #if teasing/rude or not and if likes tv

via “I haven’t seen you all day. It’s lunch.”

“Tamarack did her best literal “tamarack” act- still and silent. Put that girl in a forest and she’d fit right in with the trees she was named after.”

via “What? Have you been hiding from me? We’re friends.”

“The accusation didn’t strike as an ax, more like the sharp fragility of glass. It’d sooner hurt Vianca than the people it was pointed at.”

“Tamarack or Serenity [or you ]could have avoided her and Vianca would be powerless to do anything about that.” #if mc girl/partially girl

“Vianca was Riverview’s “gals’ girl”, she collected female friends as a fulltime gig. All someone had to do to ruin her day was one- be a lady and two- brush Vianca off.”

“She grasped Serenity’s hand, her stare held onto Tamarack. Meanwhile, she flat out ignored the third person in that circle. You were basically invisible.”

tam “Mm, no. I haven’t- not on purpose. We must not have anything nearby, and I didn’t want to bother you by showing up out of nowhere on the busiest day of the year!”

sen “Same. I don’t go to high school yet. Middle school’s over there.”

“Tamarack might’ve been making excuses, but Serenity was telling it as it was. They twisted around to look towards her side of the building. Vianca released Serenity to cross her arms again.”

via “You are so nice.”

“She opened her eyes again, barely.”

via “But you can bother me. You should bother me.”

“Vianca jabbed a finger toward Tamarack like you were about to witness a shakedown in the middle of the school hall.”

via “That’s what friends are for.”

“She punctuated it with a definitive stomp of the foot. In those ways, Vianca reminded you of how Tamarack used to be.”

“What was most incredible about that was Vianca probably got those little quirks from copying Tamarack herself, when she had done them the most.”

“Calling her “Tam-attack” wasn’t the only thing Vianca had held onto. You recalled Vianca being more reserved, restricted, when you’d first met.”

“Tamarack out-grew stamping her boots and sticking her hand in people’s faces, most of the time, when it came to strangers anyway, but a history of it stayed alive in the people she influenced with it.”
