We're working on strollers again!
Added 2023-03-01 20:10:09 +0000 UTCHiya everybody! If you've been following us for a long time, you may remember that we attempted to make a stroller a year or two ago.
Unfortunately, that attempt ended in failure as there were too many major bugs.
The main issue that prevented us from releasing the mod was that sims could not use the stroller after the object was moved with live drag or taken from the inventory. After it was moved with live drag or taken from the inventory, the object would essentially break, and it would need to be repurchased, or moved in build/buy again, in order for it to work.
We took a long break from this project and restarted once we realized EA was not making strollers for Growing Together, and we found out that this was actually an EA bug and a fix for it was easy to make.
Here's some gifs of the new stroller in action. Note that it's still a very early work in progress!
Do note that the gifs may take some time to load as they're pretty large.
Animations for turning have yet to be added, so the turning of the stroller when they start is very abrupt, you can see what I mean in this interaction demo.
March 2, 2023 Update
The mod is slowly coming together quite nicely. I made the turning speed of the stroller much slower and more natural when the sim first starts moving.
There are still some major bugs to fix, so we appreciate you guys for continuing to support us while we continue our work on this mod.

2023-11-14 21:27:46 +0000 UTCThere is no way to estimate a release date for such a large and difficult project, especially as we had to pause again after the infant patch and need to review recently added systems for potentially fixing the current bugs. It may look smooth in the gifs, but does have quite a few bugs we need to still figure out.
