Chapter 6

Bernard stood there for a while. In a loss of words as the red-haired amazon looked down at him.

He´s currently unable to think of an answer, what was the question again?

Neo was a gorgeous woman. Standing at 7´7”, with the body of a muse, he felt as if he was looking up at a superior being. So tall, so strong, so gorgeous.

Back in time, to when he comes from, he was never lucky with women, therefore, he barely even tried to focus any of his attention in dates or things like that. However, that doesn´t mean he feels no attraction towards them.

Neo´s pretty, her body´s slim but curvaceous. Her legs, due to her size he assumes, are so thick and strong. Her thighs are plump, filled with muscle and yet covered with a layer of fat that surely dotes her with a softness to the touch.

But, speaking of soft, he immediately recalls the event that took place just a moment ago.

Neo caught him, using her breasts as a cushion to soften the impact. And what a cushion.

The feeling, the size, he felt totally defenseless against her. Even if he didn´t try to escape.

Bernard fell for his primary instincts, he didn´t complaint and allowed the amazon of a woman to smother him with her cleavage. He´s never been between a pair of boobs, much less a pair as big!

And now, he can´t help but to look at her with some arousal. Shy and quiet, but still aroused.

“Hello? Bernard? Are you with me? Should we take you back to the care center?” she asked, looking down at a man who was clearly in a loss of words, and worried she might´ve broken something inside him.

“I… you…” didn´t she mind the fact that he was smothered against her breasts? Or maybe that was her goal?

But even if she wanted that, there were some easier ways to accomplish it. Besides, she´s not acting as seductive as she should, if that had been the plan, of course.

“Me…?” maybe he had brain damage? She was a bit worried, maybe she was just a little rough.

Finally, he was able to pair more than two words together.

“I mean, why did you… caught me with your, ehmm… bosom?” He wanted to be as chivalrous as possible.

“Why? Because I didn´t want you to fall, silly. That´s why.” She said, looking at him with a smile.

“I understand that but… why, you know,” he felt so nervous, but didn’t want to be so obvious when asking. “What I´m trying to say is, why did you used your… why did you caught me with… why was there a need for me to touch your… you know what I´m trying to say.” He didn´t want to say boobs, that´s basically his main struggle.

Neo was trying to understand, after giving it a few thought, she might get what he´s trying to say.

“Oooh, I get it. You mean, why did I touch you? Why am I able to touch you? That´s it? Well, the answer´s simple, I´m your guide here.” She didn´t get the question, but he felt too shy to say it, it´ll be for the best if she explains whatever she has in mind.

“Unlike the rest of the women here, I have the permission to touch you. You know, hold hands, pull you… although, maybe a bit gentler. Anyways, since I´m the one who found you next to your machine, I´m basically sort of a guardian. My main duty is to guide and protect. And, between you and me, it´s much funnier than my previous assignation.” She means job? They have quite some different words for things here.

Bernard didn´t mean that, but he still have more information than he did before. First of all, no one can touch him, and maybe even get close to him, but Neo. And two, the machine, she means the time machine! Where is it? Does it still work?

Well of course, he fainted due to the lack of oxygen, not because of a crash or anything.

“Neo, do you know where they keep my machine?” Bernard asked.

“I don´t. No one was given that information. In fact, no one but me, and the leader, plus another few, has seen the machine.” She confessed.

So this is how things are then? They keep things in secret from the people? This “leader”, whoever she is, must be the one who rules. And this doesn´t seem like a democracy, it´s more like… a dictatorship.

She´s giving orders and the people must follow. They have the biggest women as guards to ensure everyone follows the rules. In what kind of future did he land?

Bernard was looking for peace, a balance. For a place where things where fix. When people notice the true harm they do, and work to fix it, in a real way, of course.

He was trying to find a land where harmony existed, but it seems he landed in one where a single person has the control.

Or so he thinks…

“Bernard? Are you ok? You´ve been so quiet, and the look of concern on your face…” he was kind of terrified about the fact that he landed on a future much worse than the past from which he comes from.

“Yeah! I… I´m fine.” He was brought back to reality. “So, out of curiosity, what was your previous, uhm, assignation?” he asked, worried she might´ve been exploited in some sort of painful labor.

“I was a watcher.” That doesn´t sound that bad, unless she made sure that the people doing the hard labor kept working until they fainted!

“And that´s?” The future he imagines is nothing like the one he´s looking at, unless they are hiding things. He must be sure.

“I´m allowed to walk out of the city to look for things, you know, the sky, the animals. Oh, and you! Well, I didn´t mean you, YOU, but… watch out for things out of the ordinary, like you, our time-travel guest.” Neo said.

So, she basically wanders out of the city, sounds fine, but what about the others?

He was worried there was pain in this future, so he asked Neo to show him what the rest of the women did. And, to his surprise, it wasn’t bad.

He was explained that there´s no jobs. They only have assignments, and those who “work” the most are the women on the protection squad, but even they don´t work that much.

Everywhere he looked, he was greeted by kind eyes and a smile. Everywhere he looked, people were happy. The place was clean, everyone seemed so joyful and active.

This future, full of amazons, seems like a good future. When he was mentioned there was a leader and that they were not allowed to touch him, he thought that it was a commandment. That there was a superior being with high authority, who made the rules and ensured they were followed.

But he was wrong, maybe everyone just obeys because that´s their nature? Maybe people here are more civilized? They understand? They are aware of the true consequences of their actions? And if not, they are still aware that they were advice of so because of a reason?

He looked around, and all he can see is a perfect society. Everyone´s happy, everyone has what they need. Was this a façade? Was he looking only at what they wanted him to see? He couldn´t be sure.

“So… how many people live here?” he asked, maybe he was just in the “pretty” side of the city.

“We´re 100, plus our leader.” She said.

“100? Like… at the city?” he asked.

“No, 100 in the whole world.” Neo said.

Bernard´s eyes went wide, he felt dizzy for a moment. The whole population of the world was reduced to just one-hundredth-people?!

How did that happen? War? Lack of resources? That´s not possible!

That means that, the city where he is, that´s all of the world´s population!

The more he learned about this future, the more he gets worried. Bernard must be careful and look for his answers carefully. He can´t even trust Neo, what if she´s a spy? What if she´s supposed to make sure he doesn´t know too much?

Maybe she´s lying? Hiding the real information? Perhaps, everyone´s lying? He´ll keep an eye open.

“I´m thirsty, are you?” Neo asked after the quick tour around the city.

“Uhm… sure, I guess. Wanna grab a drink?” Was this true, or she just wanted to head to a bar?

“Sure! I know a store close by!” The amazon said and then she guided him towards the place.

Bernard wasn´t sure how this all worked. Not society, but his relationship with Neo. Wasn´t she curious about him? In a more… intimate way?

He was certain that she didn´t just made him land on her boobs just because, there must be something else…

Within a moment, after walking in a bit of a rush to keep up with her long-legged pace, they arrived to a store.

“Ok, let´s get something to drink…” she said as she walked towards the fridges.

Bernard was amazed, everything on the store was new. No brands he knew, no products he was used to. However, it was not the products themselves, but the way they were wrapped.

No plastic, no shinny packages, nothing that catches your eye from the distance, instead, things seemed… more organic?

And that doesn´t mean there´s fruit everywhere, but the way things are wrapped. More than a wrapping, it´s like a membrane? As if they were surrounded by a thin, semi-transparent, crust. You could see the product inside, but there was no packaging around, in fact, not even a brand name.

“Here!” She said as she came back with two large bottles.

“Oh, wow, thanks…” he said as he grabbed the “bottle”, but instead of holding a firm plastic bottle, he was holding something more jelly-like. As if the container wasn´t firm at all.

“I really love this drink. It´s milky, and also strawberry-like.” Milk? Strawberry? So the foods he knows still exist?

Before they exit the store, he asked Neo something.

“Wait! You´re not going to pay?” He asked.

“Pay? Why would I? Oh, I know! It´s like in those old movies you brought! No, we don´t “pay” for things. We just keep an order and restock everything. Right now, they have a register that we entered this place, and what we took as we exit.

He was perplexed. They are recording them? And they know exactly what they took? Scanners? Sensors? Cameras? So they do keep an eye on them at all times?

“Oh, I see… sounds… easier.” He said.

“Yes, no need for anyone at the counter, well, not even a need for a counter. We just take what we need and keep going.” So food´s free? That´s good, right?

A moment later, they were making their way, however, he wasn´t sure what to do with the drink in his hand. There was no cap, it was just a transparent membrane around a white pinkish liquid. It had sort of the shape of a bottle, but as if it was sealed.

“Just bite it.” Neo said looking down at him.

“Bite?” Like, where?

“Look…” she said as she put the nipple of the bottle in her mouth and then bit it. Then, she began to swallow the liquid inside. “Mmmm, so fresh and creamy…”

Bernard just did what she did. The membrane was thicker than it felt, his bite was a little uneasy, as anyone would with something new. He just made a hole small enough for the liquid to come out. Then, he sucked.

It was tasty, like milk, but one with a strawberry flavor. He nodded, delighted by the taste. Then, he turned at Neo, who has just swallowed the whole thing.

His eyes went wide, did she just drink the whole thing? This thing´s like fifty-ounces!

“Mmmm, so good…” she licked her lips, she was satisfied. “Oh, by the way, you can eat it. The… “bottle”, it´s like your, ehm… bubble-gum. Look.” And so, she put the membrane inside her mouth and chew it. “It´s full of vitamins…” she added.

She seemed to struggle a little on finding the words, it seems like they aren´t used to the food, or eatables, he was. However, they did find a way to avoid plastics. An eatable bottle? How clean was it? Well, this is the future, so it must be clean enough for consumption.

Now, what other surprises does the future have? And who´s exactly this sexy red-haired woman who´s showing him the future?
