Chapter 14

Was Lucy embarrassed? Well, a little.

She´s been gone for so long, and no one has thought of her. No one has really missed her, except for Jarred.

All this time, he´s the only one that’s taken some time of his day to think on her, to check on her, to try and find her. Now, he succeeded, only to show how naïve Lucy is.

Mona actually had to spell if for her? She had to point out that he had feelings for her?

She was right, not any man would come this far just to see her, no one will go through so much trouble just because; Jarred had feelings, inside him there was a feeling of sadness. Why was Lucy gone? Where was she?

All this time, the only one who´s missed her was him. Her only friend at the office, and apparently, he wants to be a little more than that…

“I…” Lucy felt so uncomfortable, she was looking down at Jarred, and she took some times to look away. It was hard for her to maintain eye-contact.

Was she supposed to know this already? Weren´t they just friends? He cares, but he doesn´t care just like any friend, no, he cares like someone who wants to give the next step.

Jarred was looking at Lucy, he couldn´t believe just how big she had gotten. Who would´ve thought, she went from a 5´6” lady, to a 6´8” amazon!

“It´s ok, Lucy. Don´t be nervous…” he was as nervous as her, partially because he came to meet two amazon ladies, but the size-difference was a mild factor here.

“I´m sorry, Jarred, I… I… is she saying what you… do you, ehm… do you feel that way?” She asked.

He had no idea what to say. He felt shy for a moment, but what a better answer than the truth?

“Well…” he started, taking a deep breath, “I… do. I mean, I do have feelings for you, as a man who´s worried about a friend, who´s happens to be a lady. And, yes, maybe I´ve been looking forward to find you… probably because, ok, surely because I´ve missed you. Lucy I… I´ve been worried, you just left, you ran away and didn´t come back. And now, I come here to find you have… grown.” Everything´s overwhelming to him.

First, he was concerned, where could she be? Was she ok? Did something happen? Will she come back?

And now that he found her, his main concerns were different. She´s safe and sound, he can see that, however, her new size dropped more questions than he had.

How did she get this big? Was this the reason why she left? Was this an illness? Was she here to look for a cure?

After seeing an even bigger amazon, he wasn´t sure if this was a place to treat her, or a safe place for her. Was this other giant lady her relative? Does she have any experience in this?

Jarred wanted to be open about this, but the giant lady that was standing close to them was making him feel a bit unsure. Why was she there? Maybe she owned the farm? That could be it.

“You´ve been worried? Awww, that´s so sweet of you.” Sweet, that´s nice to hear.

Mona´s right, he´s got feelings for her, and this is making him feel butterflies deep inside.

“You think? I mean… I…” Jarred was nervous, Lucy also seemed nervous; Mona found both of them cute, in a way, and at the same time slow.

The mood was not quite as nice as it should have. Jarred didn´t have such a plan about what to do once he found her.

He only wanted to check on her, but Mona gave it away, he was not ready to confess, he wasn´t even planning to, but now it´s too late. He didn´t deny it when the truth was said, but let´s be fair, why deny it?

If there was a good moment for this, it was it.

“So… how much do you like me?” Asked Lucy, interested on the answer, and at the same time playful when asking.

“How… like… on a scale? I…” Was any answer wrong? Or, could he give the right answer?

“Relax,” Lucy giggled, “I didn´t mean it that way. Hmm… ok, I got it, how long have you had feelings for me?”

Always? Recently? She´s curious, her size is not a deal, right? A deal breaker or the main reason, either one, she wanted to know.

“For… well, I guess, if I had to say… a while? I don´t know, I don´t have an exact answer. But, since I met you, I could feel there was something in you. And, the more we talked, the more I knew you were… special.” The one sounds really serious, but special also sounds good.

“A while then… so, at least, before, you know, my growth started, right?” she´s a muse, an amazon and a muse, a voluptuous one, that could´ve influenced his decision.

“No, before, it was before that… but, now that you mention, wha… how did that happen?” This was concerning, and what´s more, was it over?

“I… might… have an answer for that.” Interrupted Mona.

So many confessions, they were opening up, and at the same time they were so shy about it, this was kind of slow. Mona was not getting tired, but her confession might speed things up, or at least calm them down a little.

Both of them turned at Mona as she spoke the truth.

Her growth? Easy, the food around this farm. It was what helped Mona grow.

She might not believe it, but not so long ago, Mona was 5´2”. Lucy couldn´t believe that the voluptuous amazon standing before them, who stands now at 7´2”, could´ve been so short.

5´2”, that´s shorter than Lucy was when this all began. Could that be? Well, after seeing a picture, she trusted her.

But, trust? If Mona knew about this, why did she let this happen? And why did she lie to her? She made her believe this was just a random thing that was happening to her. She even went to see a doctor!

“Why? Why did you do this to me?!” Mona could see it in Lucy´s face, that look of betrayal, the one you have whenever you´re lied to. Whenever you trust someone, and still, they left you behind, they lied to you, right on your face.

“Lucy, dear, I´ll be honest with you. I didn´t plan any of this…” Mona started.

“Then, why didn´t you tell me the truth?” Lucy´s eyes were starting to get teary, just when she thought she had found someone to trust, turns out, she couldn´t even trust her. She shouldn’t have.

“I… it´s just that, the growth, when I grew, when I expanded, I could feel that, this new size, it was not just size, but it also made me confident. Stronger, bigger, imposing! I was just like you, I wanted to get away from everyone, stay as far from them as I could, and I did. That´s when I found this place, and I stayed. But, as I stayed, I realized the effects it had on me. I don´t know why, but there´s something about this place, it just… makes you bigger.”

“And you thought being bigger would help me?!” Lucy complaint, “You didn´t even bother asking for my opinion!”

“Dear, please listen. I didn´t mean to hurt you, but, the size, you were so frail, in such a bad place, you needed someone, someone who could actually help you. I know I did wrong by lying, but… look at you! You´re imposing! Everywhere you go, everywhere you walk, people will look at you and respect you. This size should give you confidence, it should´ve allowed you to see that, you´re not below everyone, and… I thought that, if you stood above everyone, just like me, you could see that.” Maybe it was not the way.

“Couldn´t you just talk to me about it? Why did you choose to turn me into…” A freak would´ve sound terrible, she´s mad at Mona, but since she´s taller than her, saying she´s a freak meant Mona´s a freak too. “I felt so insecure! I thought there was something bad with me!”

“It´s fair, I… I should´ve tell you. But, I just… I thought you´d understand that you´re more, so much more than you think, and now… everyone can see it.”

“Everyone can see I´m HUGE! I… I thought we were friends…” Lucy felt betrayed.

“Didn´t I tell you that you´d do as I say? You wanted my advice, you came here, crying, and all you needed was my help! I won´t apologize for trying to make you stronger, I won´t apologize for trying to make you though! But, if you want to hate me for changing you, then do it! I had nothing but the best intentions, and I still do! You´re free to stay, but if you can´t… stand to see my face… feel free to leave.” Mona´s eyes went teary too.

For so long, so much time alone, and Lucy´s the only friend she´s had. And now, she´s about to lose her.

Mona can be alone, she knows how it is. She´ll keep busy with work, she´ll take care of things, slowly forgetting what it was like to have someone else here.

So much truth, such revelations. Should Lucy trust Mona? Was Mona bad?

Jarred could see how both amazons were arguing, a little afraid things could get physical, but also, aware of the circumstances.

How many times has someone done something bad in order to help someone else? Maybe not just a single person, but a group of people, a large group.

Lies, lies were never good, even when you´re just “hiding” the truth, disguising it, trying to sugar-coat it. But, in the end, lying is just as bad as it always is. Why? Because it leads to this, in the end, the truth will be known, and you´ll be confronted.

Lucy was looking away, and Mona was just looking at the floor, regretting a few of the decisions she made as Lucy seemed to be pondering whether to leave or not. Why not? She wanted to get away first, why not doing it again?

“I… I think…” Jarred started. Both women turned at him. “L-Lucy, I think Mona did what she did for the right reason. If she received you with her arms wide open, I think she did this because she really thought this was the right thing to do.”

“But she lied! Look at me! Aren´t you… scared?” She looked at him, expecting a sincere answer.

“I…” What can he say? She´s very tall! Sure, she´s imposing, and she´s also sexy. Much taller than him, yes, but she´s also got some curves on her, they tease his eye, he can´t deny that, but that´s not what she wants to hear, what she needs to hear. “When I look into your eyes, I see the same sweet eyes of yours. Sure, you´re… bigger, but that doesn´t mean that you´re not the same lovely lady in the inside.”

“You… really think so?” Lucy asked.

“I do.” He replied.

“Even if I´m… much taller than you?”

“Even if you´re much taller.” Jarred´s 5´9”, Lucy´s almost a foot taller!

“And… what if I´m stronger too? Hmm? Stronger than you?” She was starting to be silly, he could tell.

“Even if you´re stronger.” He replied.

“And… heavier?” ok, now she was just being silly.

“Hey, that´s just more of you to love.” Well, maybe she still has hope.

She´s not a monster, she´s just a bigger lady. Maybe she can learn to forgive.

It might take time, but she can forgive Mona. Things might´ve changed a lot, but they led somewhere, to where she needed. Love, she had found love.

She can see the love as she looks into Jarred´s sincere eyes. As he looks deeply into his sincere eyes and his smile, a smile not a gesture of fear.

It makes her feel warm inside. But, there´s also one question, was this over?
