Dinosaur Island [+Story]

This story features:

----------------------------------------------------------

The sun was arching its way over the horizon, a bald red sphere ready to unleash its wrath on the island below. It was its warmth against him that woke Alorias, the heat seeming to permeate the thickest layers of his fur even this early in the day. It made sense, from what he’d observed. Here, on this uncharted hunk of land surrounded by miles of vast ocean, far separated from any known civilization, the ecosystem had evolved in an entirely unique way. Native prey creatures were small and fast, built to be cunning. The majority were furred like Alorias was, though had not evolved with many natural defenses like his claws and chest spike. There was not enough evidence to determine if they used tools and weapons in their place or not. He supposed he would learn more in time.

Alorias had nothing but time now. What had been his dream expedition into the unknown had taken him away from his homeland and far across the ocean. Unfortunately, the journey would not go smoothly. The skies had blackened with layers of heavy cloud cover, a frenzied, enraged ocean steering him right into the heart of a tumultuous storm. His ship had gone down, leaving him with little but the clothes on his back, his expedition bag, and some supplies. Alorias had been lucky that the island had been hiding obscured among the chaos. He’d washed up on its shore, bedraggled and disoriented, but not injured.

And now, he was alone here, unaware of how far he was from home or even what direction it would be in.

Still, Alorias made the best of his situation. The veil of uncertainty had drawn back after the initial shock. In its place emerged a keen survival instinct. Through the dense cover of vegetation, the lucaridon glimpsed great masses hulking through the fog. It was hard to discern their true shape and size. That they were living creatures he was certain, though. They moved too fluidly and deliberately to be anything but. Sometimes their footsteps even sent fine tremors rumbling through the ground to set the underbrush shaking. With so little known about these possible adversaries, explorations of the island would be risky, dangerous even.

The reality of not having many supplies at his disposal was not lost on Alorias, either. An injury from these creatures could cost him his life in such circumstances. Thoughts of the morbid outcome filled him with dread down to the tips of his claws. Without natural sources of food and water to sustain him once his supplies ran out, he would probably not survive until a chance rescue could happen anyway. If it ever happened at all.

Shaking the cynical thought from his head, he knew venturing into the unknown was his sole option. He’d just have to be as clever as the other small creatures that inhabited the island.

Venturing from the tent he’d constructed of plant fronds, palm, and branches, Alorias picked up a spear made of bark fibers and struck out for the beach, heading for the ocean beyond. The temporary base he’d built was just at the edge of the forest. Alorias didn’t have to go far to reach the shore. The beach beneath his soles was hot to the touch. He tread carefully, balancing almost on the tips of his claws to avoid lingering on the sand too long. With his concentration so focused on evading the heat, he wasn’t watching his step. The lucaridon stumbled, nearly falling flat on his snout when his next step took him deeper into the sand than his last. Alacrity seized him as he leaped back, wanting to avoid a dangerous hazard. Only then did he see what had caused him to lose his footing. His breath stilled in his chest at the sight.

The footsteps deeply embedded in the sand were huge. Enough that he knew the bearer had to have been a hulking mass. Every detail down to the ridged texture of the creature’s toes was finely displayed in the imprint. There was three of said toes to each foot, and each of those was faceted with a single talon if the marks were any indication.

Then Alorias heard a distant sound. His tall ears strained in focus. It was the kind of deep bass rumble that seemed to dominate the very air, a noise that would strike fear into any being. Thunder boomed in its wake, joining the ensemble as if to war with it. The ground shivered. A glance at the sky told Alorias that it was not a storm that was approaching. The heavens were bright azure that day, no cloud masses on the horizon to even threaten to mar it. At the shoreline, the water lapped and frothed, unhurried by any currents. It was enough to have Alorias straightening up and hurrying back towards the tree line before whatever was coming caught sight of him. He was halfway there when he saw that his instincts had steered him right.

The truncated, thick snout in shades of purple was shot through with a bright pink marking and full of many formidable, razored teeth. It was the first glimpse Alorias caught of the beast; an allosaurus. He sunk back further among the trees, a grimace twisting his muzzle as humid, acrid air filled his lungs. Muscles rigid, he tried stilling his breath as the rest of the creature crested a hill, revealing herself. She stood on two grayish-purple legs as thick as logs, hooks of white talon dangling from her twitching fingers, waiting for the chance to tear and render prey. The top of her head was peppered with dark spikes, giving her a menacing appearance. She hadn’t seen Alorias yet. This he knew because the dinosaur’s neck swayed gracefully, her gaze tracking first along the spit of volcanic shore she stood on, then along the edge of trees. Nostrils flared, her scaled muscles quivered as she sampled the scents on the air. A trumpeting burst of sound erupted from her gaping jaws, making what fur Alorias possessed stand on end.

The longer Alorias crouched deep in the brush, watching for his chance to escape, the harder it became not to make a run for it. The allosaurus was in no obvious hurry. She lumbered up the shore, slow, thunderous step by step, giving him an unhindered view of the line of dark, spiked plates on her back. With her still unaware of him, he might have had a chance to make it to his camp undetected. He straightened up, mindful of his tail as he kept his eye on the creature, and slowly picked his way through the clusters of trees and vines.

Then, from the brush just ahead of Alorias, there was a piercing squeal.

The shrubby exploded with movement. Something kicked up clusters of dirt as it scurried past him. He saw furred bodies, small and quick, darting around his hind paws, away from him. In just several moments, they had all fled the vicinity. Quiet settled back among the forest like a thick blanket.

It was too late, though.

When Alorias heard the powerful roar, he looked back to see the narrowed slit of a pupil fixed directly where he was standing, the violet halo of the iris alight with hunger. The dinosaur growled, baring her teeth, her gait intensifying as she came barreling towards the trees.

Still gripping his spear, Alorias puffed up his chest and threw it. The allosaurus caught it in her mouth, reducing it to shattered splinters in a single snap of jaws.

At the very least, it gave Alorias a head start. He dashed through the underbrush, ducking and weaving around branches and trees, careful not to snag his claws on embedded roots that could trip him up. The canopy of leaves above his head grew dense and dark as he ventured deeper into the forest, only slivers of sunlight penetrating through here and there. The snap of teeth dogged his path. Though Alorias was fast and agile, so was his pursuer. Soon enough, he felt something latch on his over-shirt, pulling the material taut. A tearing sound split the air. Suddenly, Alorias found himself in one less article of clothing. Humid breath puffed against the back of his neck, ruffling his hair and making his ears flicker. He chanced a look behind him. The allosaurus was easily keeping pace with him, her slavering maw raining a steady pool of drool. Most unsettling of all was the length standing rigid between her legs, a mix of light purple colorations that bled to darker hues at the head, glistening with dewiness. The creature was aroused. Alorias was certain that had not been the case earlier. Adrenaline surged in his veins from the new predicament. He darted forward but was brought up short by the trees ahead bowing on their own, as if moving out of the way for a passing giant.

The leaf litter was whipped into a frenzy as something rushed through the air overhead. A loud thud filled the space, the sound of hard muscle striking an equally hard surface.

The dinosaur that had been moments away from turning Alorias into nothing but a tender morsel to satiate her hunger was knocked on to her back, her legs kicking wildly in the air. She screeched and righted herself, her hindquarters bunching as she readied to leap on to her prey. The ground shook with fury, an enormous arch of flesh seeming to rise up almost as tall as the trees. Alorias felt his vision swirl with electric blue light just as there was a blur of motion. The allosaurus went tumbling through the air, landing hard some feet away, saplings uprooted in her wake as her momentum carried her even further away. For a moment, she laid still. Then, with a series of sharp bleats, she began to wriggle upright again.

The blue light burned even brighter, in lightning streaks, illuminating the gloom of the forest. Alorias realized that they weren’t lights at all, but lightning-like markings painted in streaks across the back of the biggest creature he had ever seen in his life. It seemed impossible that it had been dwelling among the trees undetected and could move with such stealth.

Then again, Alorias had been fleeing for his life. He hadn’t had time to stop and observe the finer details of his environment.

“If you wish to fight me that badly for this prey,” a booming, gravelly voice rang out, “then I suppose I could always eat you for a snack instead.”

The allosaurus’s eyes flashed with rage. She hissed through bared teeth, defiant.

“Run along now,” came the voice again. “Go find your own morsel and a proper mate for your brood. Before I decide to snack on you anyway.”

Those words came with an unspoken note of finality. The newcomer turned his back on the other, who hesitated for a few last tense moments before fleeing, seemingly unconcerned with the other dinosaur. His long, narrow snout gaped open in what could only be described as a smirk. Many sharp teeth gleamed from within, even bigger than the ones the allosaurus had possessed.

“And what fine specimen do we have on the menu today?” he asked aloud, his gravel tone curling towards something laced with amusement. “I’ve never seen a creature like you before. My curiosity is piqued.”

The creature lowered his head, his golden eyes fixing on Alorias, something much more than hunger sparking in them. Suddenly his snout was nearly pressed to Alorias’s shirt. He sniffed a few times. A long purplish tongue with a brilliant blue tip snaked out to smack wetly at his maw.

Alorias, whose ragged breath still hitched with the anxiety pumping through him, felt his blood go cold with fear. Every bit of him from the pointed tips of his ears to the arc of his tail was screaming for him to take his chances and try dashing back through the forest to find shelter. He tried taking a step back, but his paws wouldn’t cooperate, as if they were stuck fast to the ground. A deep trembling started in his core working its way up his spine.

The spined dinosaur cocked its head and took a step back, a soft growl seeping from his throat.

“It’s probably not the best time for you to have come here to explore,” the dinosaur said, pausing thoughtfully. “Those of us who rule this island are all in the midst of mating season. And there are so few of us to go around. Lots of us go without mates for the season or fall to deadly spats over them. The one who pursued you, who wandered into my territory, had such plans. Who could blame her? You smell enticing. Personally, though, I was simply planning to make an appetizer out of you. Now, however…well, it would be a shame if I went this year without a mate myself. I think you could whet a different kind of appetite. Do you have a name?”

Swallowing against the thickness in his throat, Alorias willed his vocal cords to work.

“I’m called A-Alorias.”

“An interesting name. The others of my kind know me as Ziad. Though I think, Alorias, that this conversation would be better had elsewhere.”

Before Alorias could ask what that meant, Ziad lowered his head again. Suddenly Alorias found himself being lifted. His claws kicked freely as he ascended higher and higher, until the tops of the trees were nearly at eye level. He could feel Ziad’s teeth clamped tight to the back of his shirt, restricting his upper body movement.

“Maybe we could negotiate this?” Alorias barely managed to squeeze out.

The spinosaurus chuckled deep in his throat, the sound seeping through his clamped maw. He marched forward, Alorias bouncing and swinging as they made their way through the maze of trees. It was not long until they came to a clearing, and here Ziad clambered over a small mountain pass, following a well-worn path down into the valley below.

This was not an area of the island Alorias had explored yet. There were other dinosaurs here, in the throes of their mating rituals, some trumpeting out to each other, and others engaged in play and passion. Most of them were much smaller than Ziad in comparison. The spinosaurus paid them no heed save for when one young male, spirited and inquisitive, ventured too close. He darted around Ziad’s tree trunk legs, his snout tilted upwards, sniffing at where Alorias hung precariously above.

A single word boomed from Ziad’s throat, “Mine.”

Ziad’s paw was swift. His talons caught the smaller dinosaur off guard as they swung and pierced his scales. He was knocked easily away and decided against further pursuit once he’d gotten his bearings again.

At last, they came to a secluded stretch of valley, unmarred by the presence of the other dinosaurs entrenched in their rituals. It was even considerably quieter here. Only the hum of insects and the occasional triumphant roar in the distance pierced the solitude. One patch of ground was extra dense with mosses and grasses, forming a wide circular nest of sorts. Ziad lowered Alorias there, careful not to let him drop. It would be a shame if any harm came to the smaller creature. Alorias immediately collapsed onto his rear, his legs quivering, unable to bear his weight. His whole body was trembling as if the temperature had gone arctic.

Eyeballing him, Ziad snorted and collapsed on to his side down on the soft bedding, his hind legs resting flush together. He moved his snout to scratch his claws against where a divot formed a spike just in front of his brow ridge.

“What do you think I should do with you first?” he mused aloud, the question rhetorical. “There’s so many ways I could toy with such a small plaything as you.”

Alorias scuttled back a few inches, the reality of his fate gradually sinking in. He startled when Ziad moved, but the dinosaur merely raised his hindquarter slightly, revealing a thin slit in his scales.

There was a flash of light like Alorias had seen earlier, glowing streaks seeming to come alive along Ziad’s spinal ridge. The patterning on the dinosaur was pulsing the neon blue of crystalline oceans, forming a similar wavy flow. In the dark purple haze of the nest, Ziad was a beacon of illumination. It distracted Alorias from what was happening in the dinosaur’s nether region.

“Oh, look,” Ziad remarked. “I guess the mating season has already gotten to me. You do smell so good. Must be your pheromones.”

The slit along the ridge on Ziad’s underside had gaped open, the skin there stretching around a narrow protrusion in a brilliant blue hue. The tip grew curved, girthier as more of the length emerged. Alorias could make out ridges on the underside and small bumps on the sides. Along the curve of the shaft, where it widened into a bulbous mass of knotted flesh, the blue made a gradual shift to violet. The lengthy cock pulsed gently once fully on display, twitching. An accumulation of clear liquid seeped from the tip.

“Or maybe it was all the thoughts I was entertaining.” Ziad bared his teeth in a predatory smirk. “Perhaps you should come have a better look for yourself.”

It took all of his will for Alorias to stand upright. He was terrified, but not without conviction to survive this ordeal. He shuffled forward cautiously. The red of his fur tufts was encrusted with debris and dirt where they weren’t covered by clothing. Ziad thumped his tail, his bioluminescence making light streak across the air, and huffed out a cloud of breath. It cleared most of the dirt from Alorias’s fur.

“Quite the spectacular specimen, aren’t I? But I could use some servicing from my mate. Go on, Alorias. Show me how well I’ve chosen.”

Though his hands were shaking, Alorias reached out and wrapped a thick palm around the middle of Ziad’s shaft. The skin was hot to the touch, flexing in anticipation against his claws. Gulping, Alorias slowly dragged his palm up to the tip, engulfing the dewy slit there.

“Yes,” Ziad hissed out. “A good start. But I bet you could do so much better.”

Alorias’s head jerked up and he locked gazes with the dinosaur. “W-what would you like me to do?”

Ziad hummed in thought. “Perhaps you could put that little maw of yours to good use.”

With a sharp nod, Alorias’s muzzle parted wide, revealing his pink tongue. He squeezed his eyes shut, darting forward quickly. The tip of Ziad’s cock touched upon his tongue, the flavor capturing the lucaridon’s senses as it slid across the wet surface, edging slowly into his maw. Alorias wrapped his lips around the head, sucking it gently.

The air filled with pleased rumbles. Alorias felt his cheeks flush from the sounds the dinosaur was making. Still, he was too wracked with fear to be fully aroused. He slid his muzzle further down on the cock. Something ruffled his hair, a weight coming to rest between his ears; Ziad’s claws. The dinosaur shifted and pushed Alorias’s head even further down. The lucaridon forced his throat to relax to accommodate the sizable shaft. In comparison, his tongue, when he stretched its wiggling length out to curl at Ziad’s molten flesh, was almost inadequately sized.

“Your maw feels exquisite around me, mate.” Ziad’s own tongue whipped across his scaled lips to swipe away the globs of drool forming there. “I knew you’d be talented. But as much as I’m enjoying myself, you should keep going. Or I’m likely to lose my self-control and decide to gobble you up too soon.”

One of Alorias’s eyes cracked open. As much as Ziad’s length was filling his maw, the head snug against the constriction at the back of his throat, he saw that he was only about halfway down the shaft. His thick paw reached and clamped around the knot at the base. It was swollen, hard to the touch. Grounding himself with his hind feet, Alorias pushed himself forward, feeling Ziad’s cock slide through the vice grip of his gullet and down his throat. Maw stretched wide, saliva flowed freely from Alorias’s mouth, turning the dinosaur’s length shiny and slick. It made the lucaridon’s grip on the knot tenuous. With how slippery things had become, he had to latch on with both paws to keep his grip steady.

Alorias’s muzzle drew back one he’d secured himself, his teeth careful not to prick the dinosaur’s sensitive shaft as he moved along it, tongue tracing the patterns of ridges on its underside. The careful attention to the crannies of texture embedded in Ziad’s endowments kept the lucaridon from panicking. All his focus was channeled into the one act of pleasuring the spinosaurus.

Above him, Ziad’s chest was heaving with his panting breaths. He threw back his snout, his tongue lolling from between his teeth.

“Quicker, Alorias,” he huffed out.

In answer, Alorias coiled his tongue around Ziad’s shaft, breathing hard through his nose. He could feel the dinosaur’s pulse throbbing in his knot, Ziad’s thigh muscles shivering with tension. The claw on top of the lucaridon’s head ran through his hair before falling away. Ziad’s fingers flexed and bunched against the ground, digging in to leave deep furrows in their wake.

The ecstasy displayed by the spinosaurus was having an uncanny effect on Alorias. Between his legs, he could feel his own cock starting to swell, the material of his cargo pants slightly tenting as his flesh grew rigid. The unwanted reaction went ignored for a while. Ziad, on the other hand, seemed intrigued. He broke from his revelry for a moment, his golden eyes narrowing.

“I can smell how aroused you’re becoming. You’ll have your turn too once you’ve brought me to climax. It’s been so long since I’ve gotten to play with a mate. I’m very pent up.”

Bobbing his head along Ziad’s shaft, gaining momentum each time until the dinosaur was practically purring, Alorias pulled his maw off with a pop to ease the ache forming in his jaw. He also took a moment to catch his breath, panting hard as his throat, raw from the friction, relaxed.

The pause elicited a growl from Ziad. “I didn’t tell you that you could stop.”

“O-of course, Ziad,” Alorias said. His voice was hoarse, shaky. “I just needed a moment to adjust.”

The lucaridon didn’t wish to displease the spinosaurus, knowing full well that provocation could mean his premature end in the belly of the beast. Tongue thrust out, he touched it again to Ziad’s cock, licking the contours around the ridge of the angular head. His paws fell away from where they had been gripping the knot. Instead, he pressed his entire snout to the shaft, nuzzling the girthy flesh. Considering an easier strategy for pleasuring the dinosaur, Alorias latched his upper body flush to the dinosaur’s length, careful not to let his chest spike get in the way. Wrapping both paws around the shaft, he used the bulk of his claws to squeeze and knead the flesh, stroking from knot to tip, grinding his body against it for extra leverage.

A snarling groan erupted from Ziad. His tail thumped the ground, kicking up bits of the nest as he squirmed partially on to his back, careful to not damage his spinal ridge. Latched to him as he was, Alorias followed. Thighs spread, he settled between the dinosaur’s legs, toe claws embedded in the dirt as he returned to his servicing tasks. Blue flesh disappeared between his lips. Ziad’s cock invaded his maw once again, but only the head this time. His tongue swirled against it, drawing circles around the slit, teasing it until he felt fat dollops of pre-cum gracing his senses. Then he sucked, furred cheeks hollowing with his efforts.

From Ziad’s mighty chest, a deep bellow that echoed across the valley. His pelvis undulated, thrusting up hard enough to almost dislodge Alorias. The lucaridon held fast, riding out the torrent of movement. The cock in his maw throbbed rhythmically, swelling somehow even larger than it already was. Sensing how close to orgasm Ziad must be, he sucked even harder at the fleshy tip, pumping the shaft with all the strength he could muster. Quick, hard strokes that he threw his entire body into.

“Yes, Alorias, spill my seed,” Ziad growled. “Satiate your mate’s desires.”

Another roar filled the air. Lost in ecstasy, Ziad threw his snout back, bleating out a series of guttural noises. His muscles locked, shuddering from the crest of his spine to his tail.

The first propulsion of cum rushed through his shaft, his cock flexing with the effort of propelling the powerful stream down Alorias’s throat. The lucaridon was caught off guard by how intense it was, the voluminous substance invading his maw and splashing down his gullet. Unable to contain it all by swallowing, he pulled off, the jetting white substance arcing over his snout and past his ears, raining down in heavy spatters across his fur and hair.

And yet still more came, spattering his tank top so thickly it became heavy on his frame, clinging to his fur. Gobs seeped down the still pulsing shaft until it was coating Alorias’s hands in thick white, cum dripping off tips of his claws.

When the spasms in Ziad’s cock finally slowed enough for the calm to settle in, Alorias gradually regained his wits. It was a while before the full body tremors ceased entirely in the dinosaur, his length starting to withdraw back into its slit. Alorias assessed himself. He was damp ear to claw, thick white cum streaked across him in no discernible pattern, his remaining clothing all but ruined.

It took some time, but Ziad’s neck finally arched, his head swinging in Alorias’s direction. There was a slightly dazed look in his gaze as he watched the lucaridon.

“A spectacular performance. I almost feel bad about you being dinner.” The dinosaur paused, a rough sound rippling through his throat; chuckling. “Almost.”

Something in Alorias finally snapped. His chances at escaping now were slim at best. The lucaridon knew he had to try, though. Otherwise, it would not be long now before those teeth, so sharp and almost as long as his arms, came snapping down around him. Alorias didn’t expect a swift end, nor any mercy if he begged for his life. Ziad’s disposition had already been unsympathetic to his plight.

Limbs trembling, Alorias jumped back, turning tail and trying to make a run for it. If he moved swiftly, he might be able to make it to the mountain and find some cave to lie low in where Ziad couldn’t follow. There was a moment where he glimpsed the edge of the nest and thought he might have a chance at survival.

Then came Ziad’s claws. The spinosaurus knocked Alorias down in a single swipe, not even using much force. Alorias skidded onto his back, so dripping with cum that he even made a squelching sound as he landed. Suddenly, the dinosaur’s long snout was hovering directly over him. Alorias let out a low whine as he found himself staring down the gaping throat of the spinosaurus.

“Where are you off to, mate?” Ziad teased. “You haven’t had your own fun yet. And since you’re now properly marinated, I think I’d care to have an early taste of you.”

Ziad’s teeth were nimble as they tore through Alorias’s cargo pants. The lucaridon was left exposed, his cock still straining upright, despite the circumstances. Wriggling like a serpent, Ziad’s tongue slithered down its length and the furred balls beneath, the tip of the organ flicking against the heavy globes. Alorias gasped, his cheeks flushing all over again.

“Delicious.” The dinosaur stepped back slightly, his tongue recoiling. It snaked back out a moment later, aiming for the small entrance underneath Alorias’s tail.

Unable to help himself, Alorias’s maw fell open and he moaned. Between his legs, Ziad’s tongue squirmed into his hole, slipping into its snug confines. The lucaridon trembled, the feeling intense as it stretched him open. On its own accord, his body sought out more of the sensation, bearing down on the intrusion. The air seemed to rush out of his lungs as Ziad’s tongue went deeper. He could feel his cock starting to throb with each pass of Ziad’s tongue inside him. The spear-like tip of his own cock was oozing pre-cum, rivulets streaming down his shaft and the strap accessories confining it. Alorias could feel the excess liquid soaking into his balls.

And still, Ziad’s tongue drove deeper. Nothing had ever penetrated Alorias as deep as Ziad’s skillful appendage. Alorias found his own hind-claws latching on to Ziad’s snout as his hips were all but lifted off the ground by the dinosaur’s ministrations. He was bent nearly tail over end, the tongue undulating against the constriction of his anus to create a sensation not unlike the thrusting of a cock.

Alorias’s breaths had become a steady pant, tongue hanging limply out of the side of his snout. Any more of this, and he felt like he was going to explode. As if to reinforce that theory, his balls churned and pulled taut to his body. He let out a series of curt, breathy sounds.

Then the dinosaur’s tongue struck something inside Alorias that turned the sensations coursing through him as sharp as lightning strikes. The pleasure was immense, unfathomably so. A great rushing warmth came over him, engulfing his entire form in waves. He cried out, sharply, loudly, the sound ringing in his own ears.

The first arc of cum that erupted from his twitching cock nearly hit him in the snout. It landed just short, further painting fur that was already soaked in Ziad’s seed. A second one followed, not quite as powerful. Still, he writhed with the sensation, overwhelmed by it. A few more pulses of his cock purged the remainder of the substance, coating his shaft and spattering his groin. By the time the last few ripples of his orgasm thrummed through him, he was a dripping mess all over again.

A rumble shook through Alorias’s spine, vibrating in his chest. Ziad’s tongue withdrew slowly, smacking against the dinosaur’s maw with the flavor of his conquest. Ziad eyed the panting, soaked mess that the smaller creature had become, saliva seeping from his carnivorous teeth.

“If you taste half as good as what I’ve just sampled,” his voice rumbled, low and sinister, “then I’m going to enjoy this immensely. Brace yourself, mate. It’s time I satiated all of my hungers.”

There was very little time for Alorias’s taxed brain to process the words. Still aglow with post-orgasmic bliss, his eyes widened when he realized what was happening. Frozen by fear, he was an easy target for Ziad’s appetite. The dinosaur’s maw loomed closer, gaping open impossibly wide, shadows lengthening over Alorias’s form until he was swathed in darkness and Ziad’s jaws were snapping closed around him. He thrust his paws out, hitting the soft membranes of the dinosaur’s upper maw, preventing the fearsome teeth from shutting entirely.

The sound around Alorias was deafening, his damp ears swiveling back. Ziad was roaring in frustration. The dinosaur lifted his head heavenwards, tilting it back to the sky in hopes that gravity would take the lucaridon sliding down his gullet. It would have if Alorias hadn’t braced himself against the crushing jaws. His limbs shook with the tension as the weight crushed down on him. It was a losing battle against the sheer muscle strength the dinosaur possessed. Alorias could feel his paws slipping. His hindquarters slid across the saliva-slick surface until they were lodged in the back of Ziad’s throat.

With that, Alorias lost the battle. He screamed and panted for breath as Ziad’s maw hinged shut around his body. Darkness closed in. Then Ziad’s glimmering tongue rippled like a violent blue and purple ocean wave. The dinosaur’s throat flexed as he swallowed, sending Alorias tumbling slowly down the confines of his esophagus. It stole the lucaridon’s breath. Snout gaping, he tried one final time to let out an anguished scream.

It seemed an act of mercy when Alorias finally splashed down into a scalding pool of stomach acid, the liquid sizzling upon contact. Soon, it was bubbling over him, burning him through to the bone.

Within minutes, Alorias was no more.

On the surface, Ziad smacked his lips and sighed as if reminiscing over a fond memory. He shook out his spinal ridge, the brilliant color lighting up the darkened sky.

“A fine meal,” he murmured to himself, lowering to the ground once more. His eyelids drooped, a satisfied curl of lip unfurling across his snout. “But maybe I should have kept him around to play with longer instead of eating him so soon. Who knows how long until the next creature like him will come by. Oh, well. His taste was well worth it.”

Eyes falling shut, Ziad’s head thunked down against the dense moss of his nest. Soon, the snorts of slumber rippled through the air.

The dreams that visited him were nothing but pleasant. They were filled with images of Alorias and the phantom flavors of the wonderful meal his doomed mate had become to please his hunger.
