Furisode Girl Lillie ふりそでのリーリエ(46→4 illustrations)

小ブログ並みにいろいろ書いてます。XYのふりそでのイメージです。前に言っていた高い位置でのツインテールっぽいリーリエをやりたかった投稿。

衣装

最初はゴスロリでやろうとしたのですが、ゴスロリへの理解が足りておらずうまくできる気がしなかったのでふりそで風衣装に変更しました。ゴスロリはまた今度勉強します。

リーリエの元の服の配色（襟の水色など）を残したほうがいいか迷いました。

中国語版ポケモンだとふりそでは長袖和服少女になるらしいです。韓国語だと기모노드레스 Kimono-Dress。

髪型

ツインテールもあまり理解していなかったので今回調べたのですが、すべての髪の毛を二つに分けて結ぶのがツインテールで今回のは厳密にはツーサイドアップとかハーフツインになるイラストが多いようです。ツーサイドアップは文字通りサイドの髪の毛の一部を結んでアップしたもの、ハーフツインはすべての髪の毛ではなく一部の髪の毛を二つに結んだもの、のような理解です。ツーサイドアップとハーフツインは重なる部分も大きいと思うのですが、髪がアップされているものがツーサイドアップ、ただ結んで入ればハーフツイン、みたいな分け方がされることもあるとか。

言語化

なんでこんなに髪型の名称にこだわっているのかというと、自分が作りたいイメージをできる限り正確に言語化したいからです。ゴスロリを一旦諦めたのも、ゴスロリにまつわる語彙が自分の中にないため明確に言語化できないためです。

もともとAI画像生成を始めたのも、言語化する訓練になると思ったことが理由のひとつです。当時は自分が撮りたいゴールの写真のイメージをとにかく明確にすることを課題としていました。

あまり人物は撮らないのでこんなに服や髪型の語彙増やしてもという気持ちもありますが、きっとどこかで役に立つでしょう。

加筆修正

今回は恐らく数ヶ月ぶりに完全に加筆修正ゼロです！誇ることなのかわかりませんが、個人的には誇らしい。加筆修正については少し前のブログに書いた理由で減らしたいと思っています。直したい部分いくつもあるのですが、気がつかないでください。。

やっぱり手描きのほうがある意味はやいと思うし、クオリティを上げるだけなら加筆だけじゃなくどんどん手描きしていくべきなのでしょうが、自分はできる限り文字からやりたいのです。

I've written quite a bit here, almost like a mini-blog. This is the look I was going for with XY in a 'furisode' style. It's the post where I wanted to depict Lillie with high-placed twin tails, as mentioned before.

Costume Initially, I considered a Gothic Lolita theme. However, I felt my understanding of Gothic Lolita wasn’t sufficient to do justice to it, so I switched to a furisode-style outfit. I'll study Gothic Lolita more and try it again another time. I was unsure whether to retain the original color scheme of Lillie's attire, like the light blue collar.

In the Chinese version of Pokémon, 'furisode' apparently translates to a long-sleeved traditional dress. In Korean, it's 기모노드레스 (Kimono-Dress).

Hairstyle I didn't have a thorough grasp of twin tails either, so I did some research. Proper twin tails involve splitting all of one's hair into two and tying them up. What I’ve drawn often falls more under 'two-side up' or 'half twin'. 'Two-side up' is, as the name suggests, partially tying up the hair on the sides, while 'half twin' is tying up only a portion of the hair into two sections. There's significant overlap between these two styles, but distinctions can be based on whether the hair is tied up or just separated.

Verbalizing the Vision The reason I'm so particular about naming hairstyles is that I want to articulate the image I want to create as precisely as possible. One reason I decided to forgo Gothic Lolita for now is that I lack the vocabulary to clearly verbalize it.

One of the reasons I started with AI image generation was for training in articulating visions. Back then, my challenge was to be as precise as possible about the kind of photo I wanted to capture. While I rarely photograph people, and sometimes wonder about the need to expand my vocabulary on hairstyles and costumes, I believe it'll come in handy someday.

Editing and Revisions For the first time in months, this piece has absolutely no edits or revisions! I'm not sure if that's something to be proud of, but personally, I am. I've been wanting to reduce revisions, as mentioned in a previous blog. There are numerous parts I wish I could change, but I hope they go unnoticed.

I still think hand-drawing is quicker in some ways, and to increase quality, I should probably do more hand-drawing and not just revisions. However, I want to work from text as much as possible.
