Chapter 42: Theresa: Who Else?!

Dan Heng narrowed his eyes, considering Dr. Dig's enticing words. "So, if we lose a round, does that mean we forfeit all the accumulated prize money?" he asked, studying the doctor's slightly unnatural expression.

"Uh, yes, that's correct," Dr. Dig stammered. "But this is a golden opportunity to earn a substantial amount of Shields! Would you really want to pass it up?"

"How many Shields does it cost to enter?" March 7th inquired curiously.

"Heh heh, there's no entry fee!" Dr. Dig replied quickly, eager to disclaim responsibility. "But let's be clear: the club isn't liable for any injuries sustained during the challenge. That's all on the participants."

"Oh? That sounds awfully brutal!" Theresa exclaimed, glaring at Dr. Dig.

"What's so brutal about it?" a dismissive voice chimed in. "The club provides the venue, the participants provide the entertainment, and the audience gets a good show. Everyone wins."

"Boss, you're here!" Dr. Dig exclaimed, his tone brightening.

Dr. Dig fawned over a short, gaunt old man, flashing a sycophantic smile. "Now that we've covered the details, and considering you're all young ladies, we could initially pair you against same-sex opponents. However, subsequent opponents will be randomly selected, and the club bears no responsibility for any injuries you sustain. If you clear all ten rounds, you'll receive an additional bonus of ten thousand Shields."

Scott chuckled, his eyes gleaming as he gazed at the four beautiful young women. He thought to himself that this was an unprecedented spectacle—a catfight between women, far more thrilling than men slugging it out.

Deep down, Scott darkly imagined the accidental glimpses of skin and underwear as the beautiful women fought, thinking it would only heighten the audience's excitement.

"You're disgusting," Bronya spat, glaring at the leering Scott.

"Heh heh heh, it's all voluntary. Win, and you take everything. Lose, and you'll be nursing your wounds in a hospital bed."

"So, are you in or out? If not, get lost," Scott said dismissively.

"We accept. Winning ten challenges means we've won, right?" Theresa stated calmly, meeting Scott's gaze. Scott found himself momentarily unsettled by Theresa's composed demeanor, despite her diminutive stature. He inwardly chided himself for being intimidated by such a small thing, muttering that he must be getting old.

"Exactly. Win ten challenges, and the Club will honor the bet with the grand prize of ten thousand Shields. But let me warn you one last time: the later challenges get increasingly brutal. And if you accidentally lose a limb, that's not our club's responsibility," Scott grinned maliciously. Dan Heng's fingers tightened around his pistol grip.

"Fine, we'll play. But we also have a condition: your club can't interrupt our challenges midway. Any damage to your facilities during the challenges will be your responsibility. What do you say, old man? Got the guts?"

Theresa crossed her arms and laughed excitedly, while Scott stared in astonishment at the four girls. Dan Heng, who had also wanted to participate, had been turned down by Scott.

The audience had grown tired of watching men fight. Scott agreed to Theresa's challenge, stipulating that each team would be responsible for any injuries or equipment damage incurred during the challenge.

Finally, March 7th, Stelle, Bronya, and Theresa officially began the challenge.

They exchanged knowing smiles. It was time to teach that old geezer a lesson. They were determined to dismantle this Fight Club that had ruined so many lives!

"Ahem, so, ladies, what team name have you chosen?" Dr. Dig stepped forward as Scott leisurely made his way to the spectator stands.

"Hmm, you name it," Theresa replied, too focused on demolishing the club to bother with a name. She wanted to show that old geezer what the Nameless Demolition Crew was all about!

After warning the others to be careful, Dan Heng followed Theresa's lead and bet all of their Shields—over a thousand—on their victory. The other spectators eagerly placed their own bets, some backing Theresa's team while others supported different contenders.

"Let's just go with that! Hehe~"

March 7th, Stelle, Bronya, and Theresa laughed as they settled on their team name.

"Our team name will be..."

"The Teriri Magic Squad!" March 7th exclaimed excitedly.

Theresa's face flushed crimson, and she glared at them. "No way! This is so embarrassing! Change it!"

Despite Theresa's protests, Dr. Dig declared that the majority ruled. The team's name was officially decided: Teriri Magic Squad.

"Now then, Teriri Magic Squad versus Don't Wanna Mine Squad! The challenge begins!" Dr. Dig announced, surveying the two teams on the arena floor.

The women from the Don't Wanna Mine Squad hesitated, feeling a pang of sympathy. Their own muscular physiques were honed from manual labor in the mines, while March 7th, Stelle, Bronya, and Theresa looked delicate, fair-skinned, and undeniably beautiful—a combination that made them seem destined to lose.

"Why don't you just concede?" one of the miners said. "If we get serious, we can't guarantee your safety."

Some of the dark-skinned, muscular women with wiry builds hesitated, their kind hearts reluctant to fight. But their companions were eager to prove themselves, fueled by envy of the girls' striking beauty.

"It's fine," Theresa said, not bothering to summon the Oath of Judah. After all, she had single-handedly annihilated the Doomsday Beasts from the Antimatter Legion. Using a divine key against ordinary people would be overkill, and the Kaslana family's legendary strength was no joke. Despite Theresa's petite and adorable appearance, a single punch from her could deliver dozens of tons of force—a testament to her status as a genuine S-rank Valkyrie.

Though the Captain often teased her as the "Oath of Judah Launcher" for her convenient use of the weapon, her close-quarters combat skills were far from weak.

"I fight Fragmentum monsters regularly," Bronya added with a confident smile, assuring them of her own strength.

Stelle and March 7th simply chuckled. If they weren't afraid of the Antimatter Legion or Fragmentum monsters, why would they fear ordinary people?

The bell rang, signaling the official start of the battle.

A second later, the Don't Wanna Mine Squad lay sprawled on the ground. Dr. Dig and the audience watched in astonishment as Theresa's knowing smile flashed across her face. In an instant, all four members of the opposing team were unconscious.

"Come on, come on~ Is that all you've got?" Theresa teased, her wise smile unwavering. At Scott's signal, Dr. Dig reluctantly released four hulking men.

"We are the Underworld F4!" the muscular men roared, their eyes fixed on the adorable girls. Stelle quickly declared she'd go first.

"Rules are made to be broken~" Stelle nonchalantly pulled out a baseball bat as the Underworld F4 grabbed chairs and charged at her.

And that was that. They ended up on the ground, battered and bruised, with swelling bumps all over their heads, while Stelle stood unfazed, grinning playfully.

Dan Heng watched the scene with a faint smile. These mortals truly overestimate themselves if they think they stand a chance against them.
