from the conception of this story, I always had a clear image in my head of when Katsuki finally made it home after the lust quirk thing, and how even if Eijirou is hurt and sad he's asking about Midoriya's well-being, because it's easier than asking how his boyfriend feel (he knows Katsuki must feel awful, is probably eaten by guilt, but he doesn't wanna hear it right now, he's also mad at him), or even worse, trying to talk about his own pain.
and Katsuki, who probably put off coming home as long as he could to try and get his shit together so he wouldn't break down as soon as he saw Ei, is immediately punched in the gut by the question, by how Eijirou is avoiding his eyes.
also bonus Izuku, to show how (not) okay he is at the moment~

Going back through here and I just absolutely appreciate and am amazed at how Bakugou looks in this. The red around his eyes and nose like heβs been rubbing them and crying. The smeared eyeliner/mask black stuff. It just really I think showed how much heβs been messed up over it. And kirishima not making eye contact too. It just is a fantastic gut punch of an image of tragic angst. π’ nice job π

Kats is *his* boyfriend and while he's proud Kats was a hero, he's also feeling pain and betrayal (he knows he shouldn't, but...) Kats knows it was just "helping" Izuku (but was it really *just*?) but is still devastated to see how much Ei is hurting... and Izuku is just... π₯Ίπ ...something that a part of him has always wanted just happened, but what has it cost?? How must Eijiro be feeling right now? I love, love, love this series Syb - throughout, you've captured such *raw* emotion... not to seem greedy after this update, but i hope we eventually get to see all 3 boys together on some outing, maybe after a nice big group hug, with their relationships all *mostly* repaired (i know they've all met in duos to talk things through/apologize)
