The Man in White - Gallery

Completed: 27 January 2019

In this Gothic winter tale, a private detective has been asked to investigate an old country estate. The place has been abandoned for decades, all the owners are long gone, and its history is all but forgotten. Visitors never venture inside that forsaken place, and no one stays beyond the gates after dark. Our detective finally arrives by the end of the day, so he has no choice but to stay the night. Will he encounter The Man in White?

NOTE: There is an attachment with a zip file at the bottom of this post where you can download the series.

Many decades later. The same place, but a very different time.

Thanks! It is still one of my favourite series, and it started the idea for related Gothic stories like The Legacy and the one I'm currently working on, The Delivery.

Priapus of Milet

A marvellous piece of Gay erotic art, you say you are going in the right direction, I say your art is giving me an erection, I love this story, it is so playful, happy with sadness and your art brings such life into your Characters, a perfect short story, thank you

Jonathan

No, I'm afraid not. I started doing that later, after a patron made a graphic novel from the Inner Sanctum series. It was a wonderful idea and it works very well. Hope to be able to do the older series as well one day.

Priapus of Milet

Is there a PDF version of this...the kind that looks like a comic book like some of the other ones I have seen so far...like Predator? Thanks David.

tim hesse

Thank you for sharing! I just watched it! I like it. Not bad.

Favian Chavez

Thanks, Favian! Yes, it's still one of my favourites and loved to work on this project. That's indeed a very good idea, and actually, somebody did exactly that for me. Somehow it does only plays the audio in my browser, but if you download the file it should be OK. It's really very nice: https://s3.eu-central-1.amazonaws.com/pom.maninwhite/04AddOns/The+Man+in+White+1.mp4

Priapus of Milet

I must say, this is by far the most heartfelt work you have created. Well done! 🥺😢😭❤️🥰 You know, you could make this work into a short film/animation. It doesn’t need to be overly-sexualized. Just simple, heartfelt, with some sweet, nostalgic, melancholy music playing as the passing time moves forward from scene to scene. I know it would be a lot of work, but it would be worth it.

Favian Chavez

Thanks Mendy, glad you like the series too! It was a great pleasure working on it for a long time and can't wait to do another ghost story next winter :o)

Priapus of Milet

Poignant. Each image is so rich with detail. Your use of lighting is masterful. The story is truly haunting, but does not create apprehension, rather a tranquility of sorts. Thank you again.

Mendy

Thanks! :o)

Priapus of Milet

Oh I love this story

Tam Nguyen

Thanks Camilo! Still one of my favorites as well as well ;o)

Priapus of Milet

I was deeply touched by this. Amazing. Passionate and beautiful

Thanks!

Priapus of Milet

gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous!!!

B7ue4855

Yes, I guess the devil is always in the details and always funny how these things work out ;o)

Priapus of Milet

Hey it's all good. I just enjoy finding all the extra little things you add to your works... I thing Pooh would be perfectly happy. I was lol.

Danny York

Thanks Danny, much appreciated! Actually I noticed yesterday that the front cover of the book is on the wrong side of the book. And if the it is indeed from 1925 we have another problem. For the monument says that the Man in White died on the 24 Dec 1901. But I guess Pooh would be OK with that ;o)

Priapus of Milet

Thanks Dirk, I did not have that in mind, but who knows. I thought the idea of switching the characters in time was interesting. It made the story go full circle, perhaps in an endless cycle. So they'll always meet again, and again...

Priapus of Milet

Thanks Stephen! Didn't have a follow-up in mind, for the story came full cycle and I imagine that this will go on, as long as the haunted house stands to play its trick. But who knows... ;o)

Priapus of Milet

David your works completely fascinate me. As an artist I review all your creations at length. Not only amazed with the beauty of your work and the imagination, but also with all the clever ways you add elements to every storyline. As with the book "Winnie the Pooh (circa 1925) Which Dan was reading in the start of the mausoleum scene. Very touching and I loved it. This collection was a true masterpiece, and I thank you for sharing it with your fans. Looking forward into seeing your next creation. - Dan

Danny York

David, you brought another wonderful sequel. The change of the painting gives hope for an exciting sequel. I can not wait to see this.

Dirk

David, you've done it again and left a terrific cliff-hanger. Does this mean you are going to take up the story at a later date? I do hope so!! I really love this story line and with your artistic skill and story telling any resurrection of the story will not be boring nor repetitive. Thank you so much for the pleasure you give to us all.

Stephen F Clissold

Hope that's a good sign ;o)

Priapus of Milet

*cries* I did not see that coming. 😭

Lorenz M De Leon

Thanks! :o)

Priapus of Milet

Aww this is heartwarming!

Henry Trevelyan

Hi Stephen, Yes, I'm afraid it has to end somewhere. But to make it less sad, there's room for one more turn of events in the postscript of next week. And who knows what a new project will bring? ;o)

Priapus of Milet

Thanks! Glad you liked it and yes, the end is a bit sad. So far... ;o)

Priapus of Milet

Thanks Danny! It has been a great pleasure working on this project. This time I wanted to focus more on the storyline and the characters, and it seems to have worked out very well. But I'm afraid that, like all things in life, this story also has to end somewhere. But to make this less sad, there's room for one more turn of events laying ahead ;o)

Priapus of Milet

WOW!!!... I love the different approach you took with "The Man in White" story. It was incredibly beautiful and touching. Like many of your other fans, I didn't want the story to end either,... lol. Like I said last week, it takes "natural talent" to put together a piece which says everything in the storyline without using a single word. This is your best work to date David. A true masterpiece. Looking forward into seeing how you complete it next week. Again, absolutely beautiful and very touching.

Danny York

sooo touching.....!

Nathan

Oh David - what can I say - the renders, story line, detail, mood and eroticism are perfect - I don't want this story to end - do you really have to bring it to a close?

Stephen F Clissold

Thanks! Well, this time I saw it coming from the start ;o)

Priapus of Milet

NO! That was a plot twist I didn’t expect!

AestheticAsianAi

Thanks Lorenz! Yes, this time a more tender approach between the two protagonists, and I think it's working very well. Glad you like it :o)

Priapus of Milet

I wont mind subscribing to this every month. This new series is definitely my new favorite probably because of the detail and "tenderness" of how the Man in White and the protagonist interact. As much as I'd like to admit that these images makes me feel very...warm inside, its also "Art" at its finest! I cannot wait for the conclusion of this! P.S. oh my that couch and the 2 guys...O.O I cannot help but really go back to the detail of that.

Lorenz M De Leon

Thanks and I'll have a look! I often think of music while I'm working on a scene. For the dance scenes I had George's Waltz from the film A Single Man in mind...

Priapus of Milet

I'm a big nerd for your creative work lol, When you have some spare time look up music by Hans Zimmer entitled "Old Souls" and "528491". Then review your latest work while listening to these melodies. Think you will enjoy the background score.

Danny York

Hi Dan! Thanks for your wonderful feedback and appreciation of my latest work. Not sure about the 'naturally been born with talent', but it sounds good. So, please don’t stop ;o) It’s true that a lot of thought goes into the composition and storyline, but as the process of creating these images is quite slow (3 or 4 per day), I have plenty of time to think about the next step. So perhaps they’re clever in a very slow way ;o)

Priapus of Milet

David, as a fan and admire of your works, I could use 100's of words to describe how much I adore your "The Man in White" story. But instead I'll use from one artist to another comments. I review all your individual image files at great lengths. Observing how clever you compose not just the artwork, but also the complete storyline. From the early works like "Ganymede" to your latest piece. Each story totally fascinating me. Your artistic talent is not something which one can be taught... but a talent you have to be naturally born with. You most definitely have this gift. Thanks again for sharing this masterpiece with us. Looking so forward to Jan. 20th. - Dan

Danny York

That's wonderful to hear, for that was exactly the idea I wanted to convey about these two characters. I don't want to spoil too much of the plot, but it was not by chance they met and it was not for the first time... ;o)

Priapus of Milet

What can I say but that you have done it again - the eroticism has reached a new level - the renders are incredible - the interaction between the characters and their mutual desire is palpable - amazing work of such great beauty and portrayal of sexuality. I am virtually speechless and totally in awe.

Stephen F Clissold

That's wonderful to hear and many thanks for your comments. Very encouraging and always nice to receive feedback on my work. Thanks!

Priapus of Milet

Woow yess again a Great Job wooof Sexy

Michel Dreyfus C

David, you've done it again and I doubt we are anywhere near the end of this story. The transitions from cold white statue to the Man in White and the populating of the house with ghosts of the same era, to the kissing nude men is amazing. I keep going through this set of frames and am amazed at the detail in each and the number of things I missed on the first couple of views. Perfection!!

Stephen F Clissold

Thanks Danny! I tried to add a bit of the Xmas spirit to the story, and that seems to be working :o)

Priapus of Milet

I totally agree with how your story took a little turn to surprise us with a little different direction. This creation has become my favorite one to date. Thanks David, this one was like receiving a Christmas gift from you.

Danny York

Thanks Joël! Gad you like it and to you too! Best wishes and happy holidays :o)

Priapus of Milet

Hi. Once again you manage to surprise us by leaving the expected line. Congratulations and happy holidays to you and to all your loved ones.

Joël

Thanks! Yes, this time a bit more touching update, for the Xmas days ;o)

Priapus of Milet

awww this was really touching to watch.... <3

Nathan

Thanks! Yes, that's what haunted houses do ;O)

Priapus of Milet

I love how the man in white and the house just sprung back to life!

AestheticAsianAi

That's wonderful to hear and thank you so much! much appreciated, and where would I be without the cheering squad! :o)

Priapus of Milet

This story is becoming my all time new favorite. I study at length all the detail and clever things your place in your creations. Though I'm not your biggest monthly supporter on PATREON .. but as for a "fan"... I'm on the cheering squad! Love this piece David and thank you.

Danny York

You're right, this ghost as more on his mind than just scare the hell out of people ;o)

Priapus of Milet

I wonder if our hero has any idea of the delights in store. It's always a bit of a cliche that when aliens or ghosts are encountered in films and literature that they have to be malevolent. I imagine that as this story unfolds that won't be the case.

Michael Roberts

Thanks! My pleasure and it's a delight creating this series :o)

Priapus of Milet

Thanks! This time it's a bit colder than in Cairo ;o)

Priapus of Milet

This is giving every indication of being your best series yet! Thanks for sharing your genius.

Tuesday05

I know this is going to be another great creation. lol, like The Sphinx of Cairo.

Danny York

Thanks Danny! These're wonderful scenes to create and wanted to do something like this for a long time :o)

Priapus of Milet

Your attention to details is always great. Really love this gothic approach you have taken. Looking forward into seeing how your story develops. Never disappointed in your creations.

Danny York

No, but now that you mention it! loved the settings of that movie and they are indeed quite similar. Must have had an influence on me. Hope my character in white is less lethal than that creature in black ;o)

Priapus of Milet

Was this inspired in some way by ‘The Lady in Black’?

AestheticAsianAi

Thanks! Yes, he's still jeopardy and the environment gives a hint of what is coming ;o)

Priapus of Milet

Hi David, the images so far are excellent and the story shows great promise. I love these scenes where there is a feeling of jeopardy and the victim is unwilling to engage.........at first.

Michael Roberts

Thanks John! Yes, the trees are really spooky, just as they should be ;o)

Priapus of Milet

I love the picture with the trees clawing at the roofline! Can't wait to see what happens next...

Jon Goerner

Thanks! Yes, all the classic ingredients are there and I always wanted to do a Gothic tale, with a huge house and lots of snow etc. Always been a huge fan of Collins, Poe, Doyle and Soker :o)

Priapus of Milet

Thanks! Glad you like it! Wanted to do a Gothic story for a long time :o)

Priapus of Milet

Hi. Beautiful atmosphere. Splendid rendering.

Joël

David, as always with your work - fabulous detail and very atmospheric - the Gothic house is amazingly detailed and redolent of many seen here in the UK - I look forward to seeing how the story develops - a real twist on the 'Woman in White'.
