What research do you think has been neglected so far in regard to ADHD? How would (or did) you deal with medication losing its effect when you don't have the option to increase the dose or take a break from it?

I've just got a diagnosis after fighting for an assessment for 2 years, I'm now 23. Gotta love the lack of UK Adult ADHD services. How did you feel when you got the diagnosis and what feelings did it bring up after? How did you deal with them? I, for example, was definite I had it but was still shocked/surprised by how much anger/sadness I felt at missed opportunities and the chances the adults around me at the time had to get me help but didn't. Question For Jess: I have seen your TED talk and most of the videos on the channel and I am struck by how you managed to push through what was a frankly crappy time of your life and commit yourself to How To ADHD. I finally worked out what I wanted to do after time spent in ICU when I was sick a few years back. I am about to start meds and hopefully can actually start college again in September and work towards my nursing degree. I now find myself terrified that if I fail this time (yet again) it's maybe not the ADHD and it's just me. How did you get/keep pushing through that? Love the channel and proud to support you guys with the little money I can :smiley:"
