Patreon Tiers Update Announcement!

We have a big update for you, but first we want to say THANK YOU to everyone. Your support is why we are able to not only continue what we've been doing, but it has allowed us to grow and try new things. Like writing a book!
We are raising two of our rates for the first time, but if you're already a Patreon you won't have to worry about that — it's detailed further below. But because of this we are also adding new perks, because we really want to show Patreon some love because your support really means a lot to each of us.
What are some of these updates? Glad you asked!
- A monthly newsletter detailing what we've been able to accomplish thanks to your support.
- A dedicated Minecraft server!
- Behind the Scenes content!
- Vote between 2 episodes/shorts and tell us which one you'd like to see released first!
Tip Jar will be updating it's name to "Brain Buds" since you receive Discord access as minimum! The minimum amount is also changing from $1 to $2, as fees eat up a lot of that $1. However, if you're already part of Tip jar don't worry! You'll be grandfathered in, and will be able to keep you at $1 until you cancel or upgrade to a different tier. 🧡`
Brain Board is changing in multiple ways, as well, and we want to detail out what that will look like so that everyone is on the same page and not taken by surprise.
First, we’ve decided to increase Brain Board from $25 to $50. IF YOU'RE CURRENTLY A BRAIN BOARD MEMBER, don't worry! We're going to grandfather you in, and as a thank you (and just being fair in general) you will continue to have Brain Board access for $25 until you decide to cancel.
We're also adding 25 additional slots to Brain Board, giving us a grand total of 150 Brain Boardees (this includes grandfathered members)!
In place of Brain Board, we will be adding in Wonderbrains as the new $25 tier.
This will be taking place around May 1st, so that the new perks have a fresh month to start in!
We're excited for these new perks and we hope you are too!

A second announcement will get posted soon detailing out all the new perks and where they land. We're just figuring out a couple loose ends before we post because we want to avoid giving y'all information that ends up changing one or more times later. 🧡 As for the opening of additional slots, it will happen around May 1st so long as we stay on track (and we're on track so far!). I'm not sure I can increase the tier level I'm at here though, so I'm just kind of crossing my fingers that it'll be available at my current tier. (And I hear you that you'll confirm more once you're sure - that's all good. I'll just keep my fingers crossed till that announcement ;-) )

We still have a couple pieces of the puzzle that aren't fully formed yet so we're being careful in how much we share juuuuust in case there are changes or shifts that need to happen prior to the 2nd announcement. 🧡 I can at least guarantee that the Minecraft Server will be definitely cheaper than Brain Board, at the very least! 😊 - Harley

2022-04-13 22:22:08 +0000 UTCMoney is hard, we do know that, which is why we're grandfathering members in so that their original agreed upon price doesn't go up unless you cancel or change tiers. Unfortunately expenses still exist on our end, there is no way around that though we wish there was. But that's why we also wanted to make sure that if we did increase prices that at least we could include some new perks as well. This is also why if you're already a Brain Board OR Tip Jar patreon the price change does NOT affect you unless you cancel or change tier. Because we want to be fair and honour the initial agreement that everyone signed up with. We may need to up a couple of our prices, but we still want to give you all breaks where we feasibly can.
