I’ve always preferred the original Japanese sub honestly but it’s really up to you man whatever youre comfortable with. I’ll roll with whatever. Also I can only speak for myself but don’t stress too too much about making it super interesting. For sure try to add some commentary here and there but as long as you’re giving an honest reaction that’s all any of us can hope for.

That said, I've noticed that since you struggle with pronunciations of some names, etc, (Absolutely understandable). Maybe you could give the Original Dub a chance, since the way names are going to be said there will always be the correct way. :P Love the content!

2025-05-15 20:01:43 +0000 UTCPutting aside the dub vs sub debate (I'd say watch with subs if you're gonna watch it again with dubs later, just to have the full experience), as you've noticed in this episode, the subtitles sometimes spoil specific things because they show the name of who is speaking, so I would recommend looking out for that or having someone (if you can) run through and check for you what spoilers might be revealed. Episode 8 of the first Cour specifically has a moment that gets spoiled by the dub. I won't go into details, but if you pick up on it there's no problem, but spoiling it for people that couldn't is silly. As for the anime opening spoilers, yeah, in Japan for a long time it wasn't a big deal, as far as I know, they saw it as a hype moment that they couldn't wait to witness in the anime. I know in recent years, there's more people that have the same approach to spoilers that we have in the West. Speaking of that, every episode for some reason has a preview of scenes from later in it, so if you don't wanna be spoiled, I'd recommend waiting for a few more seconds after the opening is done playing.

2025-05-14 17:58:32 +0000 UTCSo, just in the event you haven't noticed that Ywach's name's pronunciation... long story short: his name is in Yiddish (Jewish Language), so yeah, Ywach isn't proncounced "Ya-Wha-Ch" or anything like that... you'll hear it soon enough, but if you read the pronunciation comments, this is just here to explain why it's not pronounced the way it spelled... so yeah, Kubo managed to fit in 4 languages into bleach, Japanese, Spanish, German and Yiddish... what a freaking dude!

2025-05-14 17:25:56 +0000 UTCI was going to tell you that you should watch it with the dubbing you prefer, but after watching the episode, I have to admit that the idea of watching it in Japanese, since you then watch it again but dubbed, with your friend, is appealing. Since, I was sorry not to hear Quilge's iconic "HAI HAI HAI" or Urahara's silly voice when he says "Okay" to Pesche.
