But the reason they show his hand make it in front is Ishin cast the hado/kido that creates a barrier , that's why the explosion is stopped right they and goes outward in the other direction meaning he took all the blast. Which also explains why a Captain even with an injury was completely incapacitated

2025-07-08 21:33:10 +0000 UTCI never really realized until right now the Irony of Katagiri worrying about the Quincy blood line purity. She herself would "corrupt" the Ishida bloodline with Ryuken by marrying. It's nice that both her and Ryuken were able to grow past that issue.

2025-07-02 18:36:28 +0000 UTCHere’s the thing, the cousin thing never comes up again, nor does either Ichigo or Uryu ever find out they are related by being cousins removed which should be easy. The cousins thing is also only mentioned by Masaki who has a reason to downplay their relationship. Really it’s 50/50 whether it’s the truth or not, but the cousins thing not being as taboo back in the day? Maybe in the country, but in the city in the 80s it was certainly more taboo, especially seeing as Masaki brings it up as the reason she doesn’t have feelings for Ryuken.

2025-07-02 14:45:02 +0000 UTCThe implication of this episode is that Urahara used the power of a quincy arrow to create a hollowfication vaccine to save the vizard. I'd be interested to know who he got that arrow from. My first assumption would be Ishida Souken, but it seems like he would be a bit too young, given that he died just a few years before the start of Bleach, and turn back the pendulum happened 100 years before.

She was adopted into the Ishida family since she was another pureblood, buy again nowhere does it say they weren't related. It's mostly people coping with the whole "cousin marriage " stuff which wasn't as rare or taboo back in the day.

2025-07-02 03:42:04 +0000 UTCCherami Leigh is so great as young Masaki in these episodes, I am a bit middling on the dub for TYBW overall (its been way too long so I know its too unrealistic for everyone to have come back, but the recasts hurt, as someone that got into bleach by watching the dub) but they cooked with that casting.
