Come join us for a live show at Cornell University's Johnson Museum 10/26 at 4:30pm!  The show is free and part of their 'how the light gets in' exhibit. We will discuss US media's role in stirring up anti-immigrant fervor from the early 20th century to today.

The show is free though. It’s open to everyone not just students.

I love Adam and Nima and CN is indispensable, and this live show will probably be great, and the people who invited Adam and Nima are probably amazing, and the crowd will be well-informed and have good politics. But CN shouldn’t just do live shows at institutions that exist to launder the privilege of the 1% into merit. Please also do some live shows from public libraries in Cincinnati and Atlanta. Visit Texas State University and Florida International University. I’m not knocking this live show, which I’ll listen to and enjoy.

This sounds cool and something I would love to take in if I were in New York, but it got me thinking about other live show ideas. I'm wondering if you've ever considered doing shows aimed towards the employees of the major corporations in the country - like a show in Seattle where Amazon workers get in for free and the topic is like the history of anti-union rhetoric in corporate media or something. I'm just thinking about how so often the messaging that goes out is mostly being heard by the people who're already familiar with it and sympathetic to it.
