We'll say it again: Citations Needed now has merch!

(Yes, we're sending this post around again because we're just so excited - and, we corrected a typo that said Citations Needed has been around for four seasons, when it's actually been five!)

Hey, it only took five years, five seasons, over 160 episodes, 117 news briefs and hundreds upon hundreds of hours of Citations Needed content, but we've finally landed in the pocket of Big Tote Bag.

That is to say, Citations Needed now has official merchandise!

You can now grab shirts, tank tops, hoodies, mugs and, of course, your very own tote bag adorned with the Citations Needed logo (which was designed by our good friend Jack Phelps).

As you know, Citations Needed is funded entirely by our generous and beloved listeners through Patreon and, now, the merchandise sold on Bonfire. It takes hours and hours of research, writing, recording, editing, transcription and so much more by our small team of Adam, Nima, Julianne, Florence, Trendel, Marco and Morgan to make just a single episode. We take no advertising or corporate money. We have no sponsors or foundation funding. Despite an average listenership of 90,000-100,000 downloads per episode, only a few thousand of you support us on Patreon. Your support goes toward covering the costs of hosting, research fees, and mostly, our time and energy. We absolutely love doing the show; it's also work. And no one pays us to do it, except you. And we couldn't be more grateful.

How does Bonfire (the online store) work?

The Bonfire model is based on "campaign" cycles that batch orders in order to keep costs down, increase profit margins for its creators, and is better for the environment than one-of printing services. Bonfire collects all orders over the course of a few weeks, then prints and ships everything at once. A new batch cycle then begins. Everything you order between now and June 9, for instance, will ship out around June 17.
