News Brief: Forced Pregnancies, Gutting the EPA and Growing Frustration Over "Vote Harder" Messaging

Adam's "After The Norms" article is excellent, too. Are there any plans to talk to activists who have managed to make a dent in the Democratic Party like in Nevada and how to organize and do that elsewhere in places that have a lot at stake, like Florida?

this is how I feel too and it sucks so much

In the past several weeks, I've collected about 800 signatures now for Michigan's Reproductive Freedom for All ballot measure (coordinated through Planned Parenthood of MI and ACLU-MI). While this specific effort has been very well organized, the fragmentation of other reproductive care aid groups is a desperate but solvable problem. Abortion funds are separate from Plan B or Plan C distribution logistics which is separate from the legal/political counterstrategy. The fast-approaching bottleneck in my view will be informing girls and women, especially in the deep south, that there ARE places to get help, and getting them connected to that aid. Maybe the second most dire issue is the short attention span of otherwise would-be supporters. The stories I heard the past few weeks are desperate. Grandmothers of girls with heart conditions, women that survived ectopic pregnancies. I'm not sure how, but we have to start countering the pro-life propaganda in language they understand.

I did not know Pelosi used the same damn poem numerous times to "lament". I hate that we have to take revolving doors and stockholding lawmakers for granted. I need content like this to keep me angry instead of hopeless. Thanks for sharing those links to donate

Just chipped in $30 bucks, $15 to Indigenous Women Rising & $15 to the Yellowhammer Fund. Thanks for shouting them out. Looking forward to hitting the streets in my area when I can

I'm alternating between rage and exhaustion as of late. I'd hit to the streets and try and help people where need be, but too busy getting burnt out at my job.

The Dems don't even play the Washington Generals role well any more, don't even pretend to fight. I can barely listen to National Propaganda Radio (esp. since the Russian SMO started as the lies are so thick & heavy) but this morning I heard Kamala being interviewed because she's "in charge of" the response to Roe being shredded. She flat refused to even discuss packing the court or ending the filibuster!! Any real response beyond subservience to the R's is off the table and they admit it outright.
