Dio in the Nude

February's model is Dio! I'm so excited to share my very first fully nude photo set from last year! Beautiful Dio is a college student from Connecticut who's studying viola performance. Calm, small and a little nerdy- I never expected the ferocious sensual energy I uncovered.

I asked him to do a shoot with me on a whim, booking a small room for us to escape the winter cold. There's nowhere Dio goes without his viola, and our photoshoot was no different. As I set up my lights and reorganized the room, he played me a sweet little tune. Later, his viola would work its way into our shots. I'll never forget how I felt the first time he dropped his pants. The confidence in his eyes as he presented the incredible heft of his smooth bottom almost made me drop my camera. I had never, and probably will never again, see an ass like this.

What proceeded, unintentionally, was one of the horniest shoots I have ever been a part of... entirely confined to a single bedroom, with nothing but a camera between me and the most delicious curves I had ever lay eyes on. Most guys I photograph have limits, have some level of hyper self-conscious energy...including me! But not Dio. Not sweet little Dio. I had never felt so free to explore sexuality in my photography until that day. I felt accepted and safe, and I will always cherish these photos for the raw beauty we captured together.
