A Book Ending Preview... and your feedback! :D
Added 2023-05-12 00:08:10 +0000 UTCHello Patreon Brains! WE DID IT! WE FINISHED A BOOK!!!!
As a thank you, we wanted to share a preview of the (first half of the) ending, since we, of course, have a “WAIT ONE MORE THING!”
I’ve taken some poetic license so don’t worry about copyediting it, but if anyone has feedback I would love to hear it. On the document itself or just, in comments on Patreon, both are fine!
I basically want any general feedback, impressions, etc. as well as let me know if anything confused you. I’m very clear and explain everything in the rest of the book, but got more muse-y and poetic in the end as I reflected on my journey.
Click here to read the final chapter!
Thank you so muuuuuuch!

2023-06-26 14:39:17 +0000 UTCI like that it clearly is written in your own voice and style, Jessica. Thanks for posting this for comment. I don't have any editing comments; I think that the chapter reads well, and I presume that it ties in with the preceding chapters in the book. Take heart that you are already making a positive impact on the world... From your YouTube channel, to your TEDx Talk, to your appearances on various others' channels and podcasts, and now with this book! Thank you, Jessica. Thank you to the HowToADHD team. And thank you to all the people who have supported the HowToADHD channel in every way, for helping to make this possible.

2023-06-07 17:35:35 +0000 UTCI love this. Thanks for sharing all of it and bringing us along the way. You were enough even before you decided to do all of this, but what you've made is astounding and inspiring, from one brain to another.

2023-05-12 14:40:33 +0000 UTCWow, that preview hits hard in all the right ways for me. There are a lot of ideas I hadn't thought about, like letting go of the "supposed to be" in favor of the journey's natural outcome. More importantly, there's something incredibly beautiful and profound about the way you write, and overall it feels like having a deep conversation at the kitchen table over mugs of hot coffee with a guide, a mentor, a supporter, and a friend all in one. 🥹💖 I really feel your heart in this piece, and I'm so excited to read the book when it's finished!

2023-05-12 13:41:37 +0000 UTCI love it so much!!! 😍😍😍😍😍 I congratulated a now-former co-worker on his ADHD diagnosis; I truly and firmly believe that a diagnosis isn't a bad thing, because *everyone* in life has challenges. Most of them don't get a roadmap of the closed sections and hazards along the way, though, especially as more people are open and vulnerable in sharing their experiences, and loud with their acceptance. Diversity is beautiful. Having a diagnosis is a gift and the only thing that changes is having resources and help. It was there the whole time; it's me, it's us, and we're worthy and loving and FUN! 😜💗 I'm beyond grateful that you found this path, Jess. Thank you so much for inviting us on your journey 😭🥹

2023-05-12 03:33:52 +0000 UTCIt’s such a good quote from Frost. But it’s overused, to the point of being meaningless. What about this version? Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, And sorry I could not travel both And be one traveler…. I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference.

2023-05-12 01:05:18 +0000 UTCAwesome, Jess! Big congrats. I reached so much I never dreamed I would. However, I till now did not finish any of the books I set out to write. I admire that you pulled this off! And obviously I'm really looking forward to the book. I really like this chapter. I'm not sure yet if I'll go with the audio book. As I might like to scribble and mark up stuff in yours. Thanks for all the inspiration, I'll be more serious now in writing about my concept and example of Personal Growth Communities. And I took away from you to involve the community itself ...

2023-05-12 01:02:54 +0000 UTCCongratulations on finishing the book, I will look forward to reading the finished version, it will make a good a edition to my bookshelf. :-) I do find your story to be inspiring and a lot of what you have learnt has been useful to me but I still have a lot to learn and work out. Thanks for going to the effort to produce a book on the things you've learned. :-)

2023-05-12 00:52:18 +0000 UTCPost reading comment: Love it! I look forward with great anticipation to the whole text. Love the Robert Frost quotes. The comparisons to a hero on a journey. The way new information/situations can change our trajectory. How sometimes the path we are on is not one we chose.. but ended up on anyway. I have appreciated the tools from your videos. I looks forward to having the book when it is available.
