My Pregnancy Journey with ADHD: An Update
Added 2024-02-23 18:40:39 +0000 UTC
So many people have asked about my pregnancy and how it's going... but also how my experience has been with my ADHD. I thought I'd take some time to answer these questions!
It's a long video because the questions were just so so so so good it was too hard to cut any of them! But don't worry there are chapters in the video with the name of the questions so you can skip around to the ones that interest you the most!
Not yet! We'll let people know once we do <3

Hi. I'm just checking in to see if Jessica and Raff have their daughter yet. I started thinking about it when I woke up at 4 am this morning.

I just watched this and came to this patreon at the end of the video <3
Last week's video also had SUCH a big impact on my partner and I!! He has ADHD and I am autistic, and I am 30 weeks pregnant. Thank you, thank you, thank you for your videos, they are incredibly helpful. I might not be able to stay a patron for long but I wanted to offer what little support I can because your videos are helping our relationship and that is huge!

I love that you are putting this out there! I didn't get diagnosed with ADHD until after my kids were all born, but it explains SO MUCH of how things were. I used an app called Feed Baby when I was nursing because I could never remember when I had last nursed or on what side, it was so helpful!

Hi Jessica! I’ve been watching your channel since I was officially diagnosed 3 years ago and just joined your Patreon! I have two boys, 8 and 6 and I wish I would have known I had adhd during their infant years. It was honestly one of the hardest things I’ve had to do, looking back I wish I could have taken better care of myself to better care for my kiddos. Thank you for sharing your journey with all of those moms who are feeling the way I did in those early years.

Yup! That was one of the most asked questions and I thought it was really important to answer!

I look forward to watching. The choice whether or not to continue one’s meds during pregnancy especially interests me (I’m guessing part of the video will focus on that). The actor Eden Sher, for example, chose to continue taking her bipolar medication during pregnancy.
I think it’s critical to recognize that not everyone with certain neurotypes or conditions can tolerate going 9 months without their potentially life-saving medication and that being on such medication does not preclude someone from choosing to get pregnant nor does it mean there’s a “right” decision.
