December Brain Chronicle | The Tradition Continues!
Added 2024-12-21 02:22:40 +0000 UTCHello Brains & Hearts!
It’s been a whirlwind of a year! So much has happened this year that it’s hard to believe! Our book was published, and Jessica and Doctor B had their first baby. We said hello to new team members and said goodbye to others as they moved on to new ventures. There’s no way that we could have possibly survived this year without your support and your encouragement. We are immensely grateful. ♥️
We have a tradition of taking two weeks off in December so the team can rest and recharge over the holidays. We’re big on mental well-being over here. As such, this Brain Chronicle will be on the shorter side as we wind down for the year. We hope that you’re taking this time to take care of yourself too! We’re looking forward to seeing you in the new year!
Happy Holidays!,
The How to ADHD Team
This month, we’d like to take a moment to say farewell to one of our team members. Eddie, our producer and editor extraordinaire is leaving us to move on to new challenges. We are very sad to see him go; he has been a total joy to work with and has brought much light and humor to our team. But we are also very happy for him and we wish him the very best on his new journey. Eddie has worked tirelessly behind the scenes to help keep How to ADHD going and we are deeply grateful for the time that we’ve had him here with us.
Eddie, thank you so much for everything you’ve done to help us grow (and laugh along the way).
Everyone
As is tradition, Patreon Perks pause for December, but we will be back at it come January!
2024
How to ADHD the book was published in January. It has since been translated into 20 different languages and became a USA TODAY and New York Times Bestseller. If you still haven’t grabbed your copy, tell Santa to go here.
We’ve also started working on a young reader’s version of the book! Theresa Weiler, who was Jessica’s writing buddy on the first book, will be a full coauthor on this one! She is a perfect fit, as she is a former middle school teacher and understands those Brains well :)
Jessica and Doctor B brought a beautiful baby into the world and the team can’t get enough of her. 🥰
Jessica was able to take maternity leave! And nothing burned down! A big round of applause to the team for keeping things going while Jessica was out on maternity leave! We managed to keep this business running without our leader. It’s a huge accomplishment and one we definitely could not have done without your support!
We’ve brought on a new writer to our team! Yay! Her name is Steph, she’s already assisted with one episode and is currently tackling taking the lead on another! Expect some silly sketches to be woven into our educational content, she’s full of fun ideas :)
We’ve brought on a new office assistant to help us juggle all the projects we have going on. He’s already been a huge help and we’re grateful to have him! Welcome, Carlo!!
Jessica gave several talks, including a talk at the University of Alberta, a Q&A for Moody’s Analytics, and a panel at CHADD... She also did a TON of podcasts, including one for Headspace, which will be coming out next year!

There are a lot of coaches that are willing to work over electronic means such as zoom, as well! ADDA has a good article that helps with this question: https://add.org/how-to-find-an-adhd-coach/
