The Brain Chronicle | May 2025 Edition
Added 2025-06-03 20:23:58 +0000 UTCHello Brains & Hearts!
This month, we can’t thank you ENOUGH for your continued support. It’s allowed us to write a book that has now been translated into SO MANY (...we may have lost count) languages – the latest one is Korean!
It’s allowed us the security of knowing we get to keep doing this work next month, and the month after that, and the month after that.
And it’s allowed us to put together an incredible team of people dedicated to our mission: to empower individuals with ADHD with the tools, strategies, and information they need to work with their brain, not against it – so they can be who they are and achieve what they want to achieve.
Now that we have our dream team, we’re doing a lot of dreaming.
And we want these dreams interwoven with your voices… so!
What's the biggest challenge you're facing with your ADHD right now, that you’d love tools to help tackle?
And what would you like to see us accomplish that would make you even prouder to be a patron of How to ADHD?
You can answer in the comments on Patreon… or send us a DM if you aren’t comfortable sharing publicly!
Everyone
We’ve recently put out a survey regarding your honest feelings and experiences with our Patreon. The best way to know how you all are feeling is to ask, after all!
If you have not done so yet, we would deeply appreciate it if you’d be able to fill this survey out for us. If you’ve filled it out already, thank you so much!!! We cannot express enough how much we appreciate and value your honesty and voice.

Behind The Brains
Did you know you have access to ad-free videos? Every video release comes with an ad-free version, so you can enjoy our content uninterrupted. Oh… and you can totally share them privately! (We just ask that you avoid posting them on larger platforms such as large community group chats and social media.)

SUPERbrains
Your help in deciding which videos to cutdown into Shorts continues to be an immense help! Sure we decide which three videos but making that final decision? It’s really nice to have a community that can help us out as we continue to try and reach as many people as possible. So thank you!!!
This month was a close race, but in the end you voted and decided we should cutdown How to (Actually) Drink More Water — and Other ADHD Self-Care Hacks.

Wonderbrains
Due to some unforeseen issues cropping up and some really tight schedules, your behind-the-scenes video for the month is a bit late. But do not worry! It is being worked on as we speak and will be released soon!
Brain Board
It was great being able to “see” you all at this month’s Brain Board!
If you were unable to attend but still want to know what was said, don’t worry, we keep the recordings!

We’ve been working with a Creative Producer to help us figure out how to spread our content across more platforms so that you can watch what you want, where you want, when you want.
We collaborated with Cas from Clutterbug and made life much more doable for Jessica which helps with the channel as well…because when your environment supports your brain, you can do so much more. We can’t wait to share this with you. It is set to come out next month!
With some input from J2, Harley created the above mentioned survey to get feedback from you on what’s most important to you in regards to our Patreon!
Something you could probably figure out, but don’t know is that behind the scenes there is a lot of chaos and last minute rushing to make things happen so that we can deliver content to you all the time. It creates a lot of stress! We’ve been working really hard at streamlining our process and we’ve found some ways to batch create content so we can keep creating content for you and not burn out our whole team. 😅

With my brain constantly working along with my feet I need help finding something to be able to record what popped into my brain as soon as it does. I’m a nurse in an office and never stop moving, so when I remember, I need to do something and it pops in my head. I don’t have a way of writing it down therefore I forget it and don’t end up doing it or remembering it later. I only use a Fitbit because I’ve never wanted a smart watch with all of the extra disturbances so I would love something like a Fitbit with an electronic Pomodoro with voice recording. That way, as I’m running around if I think of something, I could just tap the watch record it and go back to it later.

2025-06-14 17:25:37 +0000 UTCMy biggest current challenge is the combination of perimenopause and ADHD. The changing hormones have made my brain chemicals go completely haywire in SO MANY ways. Another challenge is figuring out how ADHD precisely affects my life and what can or should be done about it. I was late diagnosed and recognising what is ADHD, what is other problems, what is "normal" in the way I deal with life is proving challenging. Haven't been able to find a professional able to help me with that yet.
