I met Jason in high school, before either of us knew we were gay. We reconnected in our early 20s and developed a new friendship online where we would confide in each other and share our art. Jason's a Jewish writer and filmmaker- notice his beautiful rainbow tatoo, the hebrew symbol for 'life'. He's very connected with his cultural roots, recently writing and directing a short film about gay orthodox jews hiding a secret relationship.
I was so excited that Jason was willing to pose for my portrait series. I selected a classic "masculine" location - a construction site- to serve as the backdrop for our session. We snuck around the the area after hours and we captured his smooth body against the rough equipment and material. I am especially fascinated by the image of his pert bottom arched and waiting in the wide shot of the backhoe. A sweet, submissive pose against rugged machinery.
Jason and his fiancé love the images, of which I've posted a few on my instagram pages over the years. What a lucky man 😉 Don't miss my behind-the-scenes interview with Jason here.
