The characters here are teenagers, which makes their (significant) deficit in maturity make a lot of sense, Okabe and Kurisu are 18, Mayuri is 16, and Daru is 19. All these genius brains that only get exercise through childish pettiness is kinda amusing.

2023-12-08 07:56:12 +0000 UTCHook shows up later. However the hook would not be nearly as impactful without the stuff before, so I wouldn’t view it as “the part you just need to struggle through”. I suppose this part would be worse for new viewers because they are hankering for the hook involving time travel, while the people who’ve seen it already can enjoy more. IMO it’s a series that, once you finish (no matter what your opinion is at first) it ages like fine wine in your mind. Edit: These thoughts of your’s are ones that many fans of the series have thought at first. Like with the Hunter Exam, first few episodes of JJK, and season 1 of Breaking.
