Future show plans and a question

I've been stuck for a while on the question of Steins Gate 0 or a different show for that slot (and if so, what show?)!

Here's what I do know:

- 5 episodes of HxH this week while we're figuring it out

- I'm going to do the ATLA live action in addition to HxH and the other show, at about 1 episode a week dependent on time (starting next week). Gotta watch it!

Steins Gate 0 is the obvious choice right now, but I'd like to hear from you guys about what else you'd like to see if anything. Let me know!

Comments

super late to the party here but ReZero truly just has so much to chew on that I think you would love to see. Definitely my favorite anime OAT and season 3 is coming this fall I believe.

Starky

Definitely watch Dr Stone! you would love that show. The science is all accurate in it as well which is just a bonus. it's super unique as an anime, and I haven't seen many if any people really give it a chance to shine and you would be perfect! Whats unfortunate is that not many people really know to suggest it so when it gets put in polls that never wins so I feel like it's a never-ending tragic loop :(

💥Katsuki BakuGOAT💥(Kacchan)

I’m probably too late for now, but I recommend “that time I got reincarnated as a slime” “by the grace of the gods” and “moriarty the patriot”

Hanna

I'm super late, and I know it's super new and there are many, many options out there, but I'd love a solo leveling reaction. I'm curious if you'd ever watch something like Naruto, that's super, super long?

NansLocalBakery

Right! I always forget about it and then randomly remember how crazy it actually is

VSoup

She-Ra is so much fun. You'd definitely enjoy it.

Merfhew

So valid! It was amazing as a big Fan of the Games

♡Cece♡

Adventure Time would be actually amazing lol

Sunny

oh my god Durarara would actually be amazing! I always forget it exists and have to rewatch it every few years

Sunny

Sadly I've seen The Last of Us (couldn't resist)

Alex G

Monster I've seen! Wish I could unsee it so I could do it again

Alex G

Two of my all time favorites! I've probably watched FLCL 6 or 7 times at this point, and I went to a pillows concert in NYC

Alex G

At one point She-Ra was THE MOST recommended show I got. But IIRC it lost on a poll to AOT and then I stopped seeing it recommended. This just took me back :D

Alex G

Sadly this I've already seen (long ago)

Alex G

I first watched Steins;Gate in 2014, and although 0 came out in 2018, it wasn't until a friend sat me down to watch it in 2022 that I finally did. I've been wanting to see reactions of 0 so far, but only want to check out 1 due to time constrains, so it'd be great if its from you! I really enjoyed it and wish I had seen it sooner, but its also understandable if most people right now vote for Frieren (I need to check it out) or other anime too. So I'm good with whatever.

Tati

Re: Zero

Kimats0548

I think you might like Soul Eater. Tons of fighting and moral questions but also lots of discussion about family and friendships. Plus it's also just really funny sometimes.

Kayla Rose

I’m late to this but two recs: Durarara and Baccano!! They’re by the same authot but both are extremely up ur alley. Durarara is more complete and there’s a blond man there waiting for you if you so choose. But the author has an incredibly unique story telling perspective that I know you’d eat right up and a huge cast of characters that are sooo unique and contribute to the story just as much as anyone else. They’re so amazing and leave so much room for thoughts, theorizing, etc that I know you’d enjoy!

VSoup

Oh is that the case? Did he say that at some point?

enes y

Re zero

DJ Pavan

i feel like if you are down for more liveaction something like the last of us liveaction come to mind for me, idk if you are already familiar with the game/games, but i think the show is very good and the way it explores Humans Psyche, Relationships, and obviously the scary Factor of a Apocalypse and the Question of how you would be affected by it. Also really well written Characters. Idk i'd love your Commentary on it :)

♡Cece♡

Because I wanna see his reaction 👍

Amit

I agree with this heavily. Either would be amazing

the whole thing is a waste of time from beginning to end... why remake something that is animated into live action? the only reason it exists is to make Netflix suits more profit, its a shameless cash grab. all live action remakes, regardless of quality, are cash grabs. they couldve spent all this money on a new original project. "the weaker writing and dialogue" im sorry but for the most part fictional media, particularly of the fantasy genre, rely heavily on the quality of its writing/storytelling to make it worth watching and entertaining... if you are admitting that the writing in the show is weak (or in other terms... bad) than yes... the show is bad. not an exaggeration in the slightest.

Jasmine Tea Enjoyer

Bocchi the Based

Jasmine Tea Enjoyer

but why watch something that is a 6.5 when there are countless 10/10 shows that Goodwin hasn't seen?

Jasmine Tea Enjoyer

I wouldnt mind more Live action shows. I havent actually watched any of your content since Haikyu mainly because i dont watch these other shows.

UndeadDesk

Psycho-pass, I think it's anime exactly for you.

Neygem

He may have seen some but I don’t think all of it. He talked a while ago about hesitating because it’s a long show

tundrxdemon

He has likely already seen it

Rekway

Frieren

Rekway

Bocchi the Rock Oshi no Ko Re:Zero

Steve.

I'd love to see you react to Rick and Morty or Adventure Time. I think you would have a lot of fun analyzing them.

Purple Dawn

"So bad" is just a plain exaggeration imo. There’s good parts, there’s alright parts and there’s bad parts. It’s not as good as the cartoon, but it stands on its own. The child actors did a phenomenal job and made the weaker writing and dialogue mostly enjoyable to watch. It’s a fine adaptation, some changes didn’t sit well with me but if they hadn’t changed anything it would’ve been even a waste of time.

Anna Lena Ciplajevs

Nana, Noragami, Re zero, Natsume yuujinchou, mushishi, 86, and orange. This one isn't an anime but, The Bear is a pretty good show.

Helena Flores

A little bit out of ordinary but i think you are the best person to react to “Secret Forest” a south korean murder mystery produced by netflix and it has highest ratings in terms of writing with large viewership. Anothe roption is Devilan’s plan, a Netflix produced south korea reality contest for smart people with various strategy and vit based games. It was on Netflix top global shows few months ago so for sure there will be viewership. Both are Netflix shows so copyright rule is similar to normal Netflix shows like Squid game for reaction and both have high viewership and high rating. Try any of these show, at least even on your own time, I ak sure you likely will like them

Matsumoto Erkin

It’s new Avatar content and enjoyable even though with its flaws. Plus a lot of people will watch it

Amit

6.5 is barely passing... why react to 10 hours of it?

Jasmine Tea Enjoyer

I'm gonna go and be mainstream right now, but I feel you would like Frieren and its themes. I think it could be relaxing after the insanity of Steins gate (and Phantom troupe arc in HxH).

hotleafjuice

ATLA live action isn’t that bad tbh, feel like people weren’t gonna give it a fair chance from the start. Solid 6.5-7/10.

Amit

I just started watching it yesterday lmaoo it’s way better than I thought it would be

Seth

It would be nice to see Gurren Lagann reactions, but I guess Frieren or Apothecary Diaries would make more sense right now.

Ruma Risto

I feel like some of the ones I most want to see are Run with the Wind, Nana, and Ranking of Kings. Also open to some other new series like Re;Zero and other ones that got a lot of votes last time.

Chris Sharpe

Sooo excited to see your reaction to the netflix atla, like many others I discovered you through your atla reactions! Have you ever watched naoki urasawa's Monster before?

flanne

Considering he loved haikyuu I have no doubt he’d love it

M2GZ

I’m back again with my semi annual Run With the Wind recommendation. Honestly still holds up as my favorite anime of all time. Beautiful themes and characters with lots to get out of it. I think it would be something you really enjoy :)

Avery Strasser

I won’t hate, but anyone who can’t enjoy Frieren and anime like it have such a large category of incredible anime shut off from what they can actually enjoy, simply because it’s not packed with action 24/7. I don’t hate, I simply pity you.

Reid Dawson

still hoping for the aot rewatch myself

RichiPete

im pretty sure he's already watched it on his own

RichiPete

Probably. I'm lacking in recent anime so my recommendations are limited lol

Logan Bradford

What I'd look forward to: - ID: Invaded (13 eps; an original sci-fi psychological thriller; the protagonist enters virtual representations of the minds of serial killers to find their identities) - Ranking of Kings - Hell's Paradise (13 eps; though I've only read the manga so far and haven't seen the anime yet) - Psycho Pass season 1 (probably; vague memory)

critter

I may be wrong but I think he’s referenced flcl before so he’s probably already watched it

M2GZ

You might have seen it before: Neon Genesis Evangelion. I think I saw a poster in your room before, so: FLCL. A short anime with deep themes.

Logan Bradford

Psycho-Pass continues to be one of the shows that I think you'd REALLY sink your teeth into.

Martin VanBuren III

Have you seen Ninja Kamui yet? It has 3 eps out, but is really good, and has insane fight scenes.

Sam B

The Bear packs a lot of emotion, its really good!

Sam B

Frieren being better than JJK is wild to me. Don't get me wrong, I like Frieren, but there are a lot of characters in there that are so 1 dimensional, I feel that about a lot of the characters honestly, even the main ones. That said, the show is definitely more focused on Frierens slow development which I actually really like, I just wish the auxiliary characters felt more alive.

Sam B

Bocchi the Rock for sure!

Sam B

Ninja Kamui has been awesome so far, insane animation, and fight choreography. Its about ninjas, and the clans hunting down deserters. Produced by Adult Swim.

Sam B

I think you'd really enjoy Classroom of the Elite

JDalsing

So, first things first: Steins;Gate 0 is not a season 2. It's not even a sequel. It's an alternate story, which means, basically, a spinoff. It uses the same setting and characters, of course. I've watched Steins;Gate around 3-4 times but it's a self-contained series with a satisfying ending. I never felt the need to explore spinoffs. If *YOU* were so hooked that you want to explore alternate stories of the characters, then go ahead and make a series out of it. Even if it's not as good as the original, it's probably weeeell above average. With regards to other shows, I will echo what I said last time: The Fate series has always been and remains a huge hit. It has many fans who are always looking for Reactions / Reviews around Youtube. Plus, it has enough psychological and societal undertones to fit the overall serious tone of the channel. If you decide to go that way, the order should be Fate/Zero > Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works > Fate/Stay Night: Heaven's Feel I - III (3 movies). Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica is also great (AND popular with western audiences). It is also extremely mature (it's a supernatural psychological drama), despite what the overall art style and promotional material might suggest. It's also very short: 12 episodes. Similarly to Steins;Gate, the series had a tight and satisfying conclusion, but it was so financially successful that the producers went and made a direct bona fide SEQUEL movie, with one more coming sometime this year. My final suggestion to check out would be Ginga Eiyuu Densetsu (Legend ofthe Galactic Heroes). It's a political/social/psychological space opera that spans 110 episodes and about a dozen canon prequels. Its sheer size and level of maturity is what deters most people (Contect Creators, I mean) from taking it up. I've only seen 2 attempts on Youtube, and one was, if I recall, dropped. IF you decide to go that route, I'm sure it would be the highlight of the channel; if not in matters of viewership, then definitely in matters of actual content. I would be remiss if I didn't mention shows currently airing. I'm 100% sure people will recommend Sousou no Frieren and Dungeon Meshi. They have EXCELLENT writing. They are great visually AND acoustically. And.... they haven't conclude yet. Frieren's manga is still ongoing and it's gonna need more seasons down the line. Who knows how many years that's gonna take. Dungeon Meshi's manga was 97 chapters and they adapt 2-3/episode. It's gonna take around 40-50 episodes and they're at ep.8. Will they straight up do 50 episodes? Will they break it into 2 parts? Who knows. As always I do NOT recommend shows that are ongoing..

Arakis

Monster is definitely the type of show he would really enjoy.

Joey Healy

It’s like they put the Avatar Wiki into a random scene generator lol

Joey Healy

Bocchi the Rock, Dororo and Erased are pretty good :)

Shaggy

Literally the perfect anime for you to watch

Miido

Psycho pass

Miido

assassination classroom since i'd love your input as a former teacher and it's a finished show! beastars is also a show i'd think you'd find very interesting. i really don't reccommed the live action atla but do it if you must lol

Ayan

I know it will never happen if it's on a poll because no one watches it outside Japan, but put WORLD TRIGGER on your radar. The huge cast of characters are intelligent, have excellent interpersonal dynamics, and exude competence with few exceptions. The first season has some unfortunate animation/pacing issues that are improved greatly in the following seasons.

Tristan

He’s seen Monster already

Tope

I would love to see Alex react to The Bear.

Julian Walker

Echoing my previous suggestions: Frieren Welcome to the NHK! Nana Monogatari Series Gurren Lagann Black Lagoon Kino's Journey I'd put Re:Zero on here as well, but I think that would be best saved for some time after Steins;Gate.

Vincent

Also, there's two movies about multiverse travel that connect to each other that are really interesting. To Every You I've Loved Before and To Me, The One Who Loved You. You can watch them in whatever order and the ending changes depending on which you watch first.

Anya Mcghee

Erased!

Anya Mcghee

he has already seen it

Jasmine Tea Enjoyer

Frieren is the opposite of boring

Jasmine Tea Enjoyer

Goodwin HAS to watch Mushoku Tensei. The world requires this to happen. We must will it into existence somehow.

Jasmine Tea Enjoyer

Zero!

Spizami

also FRIEREN please watch Frieren: Beyond Journey's End its a masterpiece!

Jasmine Tea Enjoyer

Not the ATLA live action oh no... its so bad

Jasmine Tea Enjoyer

10 ep's a week of hxh, I won't mind👀. I don't think he has many Monster supporters here unfortunately.

Deea

I wouldn’t say no to more Hunter x Hunter but I get if you don’t want to rush through it. I haven’t watched Steins Gate yet so I don’t have an opinion there. I saw some other people recommend One Punch Man and The Bear, both of which I think are great. One punch man for comedy, the bear for discussions.

Nachreld

Listen to this tk guy. My suggestion for the next show: Monster

enes y

Actually watch monster… its prolly the greatest show of all time. Sadly this comment will just go under and u‘ll never actually witness the greatness of Monster 😔

enes y

Please don‘t… it‘s super boring

enes y

5 ep‘s hxh forever 🥸🌹

enes y

I mean my obvious want is for Re: Zero to be up next, its my absolute fav and I think you’d get so much out of it, and since it came second place in the last poll I think it has a good chance of winning, plus we’re prolly getting the release date for the 3rd season in March. But, tbh you should just go with your gut on this one. If you’re feelin like more Steins Gate, do it, otherwise just put a poll out.

Vali Sippola

I would love for you to check out She-Ra and the Princesses of Power (2018) at some point. I know you enjoy shows that have complex characters with interesting dynamics and relationships that you can analyze, and the She-Ra reboot is filled to the brim with exactly that. The show has a great story as well. I am aware that you normally stick with anime, but I loved your reaction to ATLA and Legend of Korra, and the She-Ra reboot is very much in the same vein as those shows (maturity wise its probably in between ATLA and LOK). Its honestly a show that has no reason being as good as it is considering that its a reboot of an 80s cartoon that noone was asking for. But it is actually really, really good.

Omegastar

critter

I would love to see fieren as many others, But also I recommend this slice of life kinda romance Skip to Loafer it is wholsome and short. Maybe new poll would help?

Marko

FRIEREN my god you’d love it bro

Reid Dawson

I would sugest Barry or True Detective. Great shows.

Meia-noite

So as a Steins gate fan. It is a little sad no one seems to do Zero since I consider it the more interesting story and the origional series the background info. So it does feel like dropping a show early. But I get it too that Zero is a branch off story since it is self contained and the first show provides a lot of closure.

Sage

As much as I want you to watch Re:Zero immediately, I'd say it's best to go for Steins Gate 0 next. Other shows I think you would like and get a lot out of would be Frieren, Mushoku Tensei, Bocchi the Rock, Castlevania, and Cowboy Bebop, and Shogun. I'd also be down for Spy x Family season 2.

Josh Bowers

I'm a big fan of the Re:Zero series, so that would be my personal preference. Frieren is fun. It's one of my favorite new shows (and, when compared to other recently popular shows like JJK and Solo Leveling, I think Frieren is far superior). Unfortunately, the season is almost over. People keep saying you should watch Frieren because it's "good for your channel" and because it'll get you new viewers, but I think it might be too late to receive the popularity "boost" they're talking about. That's not to say you shouldn't watch Frieren, but if you specifically want a popular show, the next "big thing" will be Kaiju No. 8, which debuts in April. I haven't read the manga, but I see a lot of hype. With all of that said, I want to mention one final thing. There will probably be some very disappointed Steins Gate if you don't watch the 0 series now (even if you fully intend to return and watch it later). I've never watched or played Steins Gate, because I'm waiting until I can experience the game / novel first. However, based on the comments I've seen on other reaction channels that either skipped, considered skipping, or wanted to delay watching Steins Gate 0, there were a lot of fans who felt strong feelings. I remember seeing comments that expressed sadness, anger, disappointment, and skepticism (that the reactor would actually return to watch 0 later). Just to be clear, I'm not saying the fanbase is toxic. It's just, the majority seems to view 0 as a direct continuation and expect that it'll be reacted to immediately, as you would a "Season 2" for another show. As a few others mentioned, I think it's important that you watch what you want to watch. If you're looking for something popular, do that. If you're looking to appease the audience, do that. If you want us to decide, feel free to set up a poll. I'm glad you're asking for our input, but don't let it weigh you down if there's a clear direction in your mind!

Merfhew

There's a new show coming out that's live action called Shogun. It's pretty incredible so far. Highly recommend.

Aidan Pullen

Blue lock would be fun, I’m missing sports anime reactions 😂

Casey Turner

Frieren is one of the best shows to watch for the channel right now imo

Pye

I think Frieren is a good option

OptimalCaboose

Ooh, if you're open to live-action, you should check out Shōgun, the new version that just started on Hulu/FX (in the US, anyway). It's amazingly well done so far (2 out of ten episodes available right now). I think you'd like Link Click, a Chinese donghua with 2 seasons so far. It's very emotional, complicated, and psychological. The animation is great, the music is great, and the voice acting is great.

Serralinda

I still want you to see SAIKI K 👉🏻👈🏻 It's a fun simple anime . Or One punch man a great anime , and frieren too 🙈

م -

I'd really like steins gate zero.

Sage

I think is more important to see what you want to see, u can go it s;g 0 if you want, the avatar live action once per week looks fun, if you want to see something new i would recommend made in abyss or madoka magica, i love those ones!

Sonozaki Shinji

Loving the run with the wind love 🙏🏻

M2GZ

I would love to see Re:Zero and Steins Gate Zero, but I still gotta reccomend Natsume Yuujinchou to everyone else in the comment section. Tis' a very soft and healing anime that I love.

Anya Mcghee

My opinion is that you should watch at least one of the hyped animes of the season to lure more public. Frieren in my opinion is the best option, is very hyped and it's going to be the anime of the year . And also is the type of anime that fits perfectly your kind of content, lots of character analysis

Carlos César Chataignier dos Reis

I’m gonna go with a completely left-field suggestion and say The Bear. It’s an amazing show, and it would be interesting to hear your thoughts on some of the major themes. It’ll also break up the animation-heavy roster you currently have.

Tope

Frieren: Beyond Journey's End is a new one that everyone is loving. Has everything from good characters down to the crisp animation.

JUJ

Your optimism shines through..

Spencer Egerton

Either ATLA rewatch #2 or AOT rewatch. Maybe these are unpopular opnions.

Spencer Egerton

I just now thought of this but Hells Paradise is a no-brainer. It’s considered to be in the new next gen trio (JJK, Chainsaw Man and Hells Paradise) Mappa dropped it last year and most people reacted to it. It’s fire

Seth

Re:Zero or Blue Lock! Both could have very interesting discussions I feel.

CastSenpai

I absolutely know you'd love Nana. It's never going to be the popular vote because its main characters are women and it's a coming-of-age slice-of-life, but it's absolutely beautiful. Other fantastic choices are Ouran High School Host Club (always a popular choice) and Blood+ (the show, not the movie).

Thysbe

Oh god please don't😂🙏🙏. You'll have to stay commited for the next 5 years lol.

Deea

Its long but I love Hajime no Ippo

Mark Drumheller III

it depends what you feel like seeing next. If you want comedy and action I strongly recommend One Punch Man. I second the person who said Run with the Wind or Blue Lock. The Apothecary Diares also a strong one this season. Monster is a classic but it's relatively long compared to the other shows I mentioned (74 ep). Run with the Wind is very special for me since I used to be a track and field athlete, there aren't many sports anime out there about this wonderful sport. Looking forward for a rewatch but mostly for your opinions/discussions. I'd rather have you choose it personally than make a poll, to be honest😁.

Deea

I think perhaps you could steer away from anime for one show, maybe watch some western animation since that’s what ur channel started with or a live action show. Maybe watch something you feel like watching too since I feel like you’re gonna keep getting endless suggestions for the newest hot/good show which there’s always a new one each season so it becomes hard to keep up

Andre Tan

Re zero. Third season announced and ill never forget it was second on that poll lmao. You gotta figure shit out like in AOT so its a fun watch and season two episodes are long af.

Velocity

Run with the wind and Frieren are definitely my two suggestions.

M2GZ

I think if you make a poll having a yes no and come back to it later option might be a good idea 👍🏻

M2GZ

You’re a traveler so I think Made in Abyss would be right up your alley

Justice Hastings

I would love to see his comments on ego throughout the show

M2GZ

THIS^^ it’s as long as steins gate 0 and it’s a whole show. It’s got that haikyuu good motivational feel, love that show

M2GZ

I think you’d enjoy Monster

Joey Healy

Steins;Gate 0 would be awesome while you remember the original so well I believe! You'd love it and you would probably have a lot to say on the questions posed there which are more relevant in today's society than when the show came out.

DennisAnimeFan

There is a one piece remake anime coming out eventually though. That would be really cool, because it won’t have 90s/early 2000s anime pacing

Sunny

Baccuno Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic

WaitAMinute

Yeah Frieren is a must see. Mushoku Tensei is another I’ll never stop recommending

Sunny

Steins Gate 0 and a show called Link Click.

Christo Badenhorst

I would agree

Marko

PLEASE ONE PUNCH MAN, I THINK U WOULD FIND THE MCs MENTALITY REALLY INTERESTING THROUGHOUT THE SHOW

Big Fuze

Cobra Kai or solo leveling

William Abbott

Odd Taxi for sureee

Bobby Squid

Blue Eye Samurai is a great choice

Julian Walker

I hope he never does one piece cause you gotta sacrifice 50 other animes just for one show

Seth

There’s a hole in my heart where your reaction to S2 of To Your Eternity should be 😅

bl0odm1st

No matter what people are gonna choose their own show instead. A poll is completely pointless, I think you should decide if YOU would personally like to see more Steins Gate. I highly recommend it. Also my top other recommendation besides 0 is Inuyashiki. It’s 12 episodes, by Mappa and it’ll be the most wild anime you’ve ever seen

Seth

While I think a break between watching Steins Gate and Steins Gate 0 would be a good idea, I do believe that it could potentially get forgotten about and never got round to. So maybe doing it now is a good idea

Sacha

GURREN LAGANN

Sparker

After Haikyuu, I think you'd really like: Run With the Wind, which is a 23-episode adaptation of a Japanese novel about long-distance running.

Beta Trix

Call me a broken record but have you considered Jojo’s bizarre adventure?

Doktor

Whatever poll you put out you gotta put Re:Zero on 🙏

Russie ♡ Russell Bumpers

i would suggest Frieren, it’s a different pace from the shows you’ve been doing, yet still so packed with amazing storytelling and characters

Mima

Thoughts on starting Naruto? 👀

tundrxdemon

It’s a tough call for me. I love Steins;Gate 0, and watching it now while it’s fresh would probably be best. But as I mentioned in another comment, Frieren is fantastic and I’d love to see it on the channel. When in doubt however, more HxH also sounds great.

Oak

I recently watched Odd Taxi and was blown away by it. It's a shorter series too.

Javier

I suggest blue lock, it's a different take on sports anime and only 24 episodes.

Francis

I don’t mind! You should finish with stiens gate and then do a poll for the next shows. Personally I can see some great picks in this comment section. My recommendation for after steinsgate would be; Solo Leveling Frieren P.S - I’d like to see one piece but it could be better to wait for WIT studios to remaster the series. Hoping Mr.Goodwin isn’t over-worked and hoping we all have a great weekend 😁

Emman Reed

Gotta second Frieren. I probably watch about one completely new anime a year, and Frieren has far exceeded any expectations I had.

Oak

Frieren seems like the obvious choice, fully waranted aswell.

Pulp

I am once again suggesting blue lock. Also whenever in the future one piece would be awesome but I get it

RichiPete

Oregairu would be great on a more character focused romance / slice of life / drama type thing again! Bunny Girl Senpai as well for a shorter show in a similar vain (only 13 eps and a movie). Made In Abyss is a very different more dark adventure show, but phenomenal as well!

Donnie Betlem

I think you would have a lot o fun with blue lock, after watching something like haikyuu, and my favorite re:zero, of course

Rafael Miranda

Solo Leveling certainly has enjoyable aspects, the fights are great, the music is quite fantastic (Hiroyuki Sawano never misses), but as far as the story's concerned, it's kind of a generic power fantasy with only a little more depth to it than your average seasonal battle shounen/isekai/etc. show. The same cannot be said for Frieren, which I daresay hasn't been recommended enough despite everything lol. It's honestly phenomenal.

tk

Yeah I totally get it i just wanted to rep my favorite manga lol. Like you said, huge commitment. Maybe one day though

Z

Ah yeah I've been hearing a lot about Solo Leveling as well

Alex G

I've been enjoying undead unluck and solo leveling. Undead unluck seems underrated I could be wrong but it gets really really good story wise

sdk

Freiren is probably the most recommended show for me at the moment, judging based on comments here and YouTube

Alex G

You heard of a new adult animation on Netflix? Blue Eye Samurai. Seems right up your alley. Historical story set in edo era japan about revenge and anything else you can imagine. Think Vinland Saga in Japan but even more graphic and adult

Sale

I really would love to do One Piece but obviously huge commitment, it would depend on interest level. I've been planning on trying a few episodes to see but when is always the question

Alex G

frieren and dungeon meshi are coming out right now and are both really excellent!!! you would have a field day with the emotional thoughtfulness in frieren, and dungeon meshi is a delightful and clever romp that just gets wilder and more interesting with worldbuilding and lots of good humour.

Jo

Frieren: Beyond Journey's End would be great to see, 1st season will be wrapped up in the next few weeks. I think you'd really enjoy the themes of the show, plus it's currently number 1 on MAL for a reason :-D

John Pappin

One Piece lmao
