Definitely. But we'd enable each others habits

Alex G

They probably used rotoscoping, it would look very obvious if there was significant cgi used

Sunny

It could also be the older women who were helping Fern. Or it could be him thinking what we all think which is that Fern is hot.

Isn't it fantastic? I only wish there was more fanservice... imagine a beach episode with Fern and some of the future characters we haven't met yet in the upcoming arc.

Frieren’s been alive for over 1000 years. Even Sein knew about Chaos flower at his age so it’s safe to assume Frieren has defeated some chaos flower in her day.

The dance scene was really nice. Am I correct in thinking that it was either CGI, or drawn but rotoscoped from real dancers?

Sam B

It drops random Fern and Frieren boob shots too

Sam B

At 20:35, Sein was reacting to seeing Fern all formal

Y'know, if I had a nickel for each time Stark ran into an older redheaded man who lost his son to demons and saw his son in Stark, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice.

i was frieren starved fr fr your uplaod made my day

Momo

I'm more sus of the FEET shots in this series my god. Any time they get a chance for some wiggling toes they go for it.

Rekway

Stark already got a new mommy (Fern) and now he just got a new daddy! Good for him.

Jasmine Tea Enjoyer

I wanted to say something in response to calling Stark the "least cherished object" of Frieren, but I actually couldn't think of any conclusive evidence otherwise. :( At least I'm glad that Stark got the chance to shine here. Alex's speech about confronting and reexamining childhood narratives is very thought-provoking. There was a kind of throw-away line about "at least when they're not beneficial," but now I'm stuck thinking about whether or not we should also confront childhood narratives that we perceive as "beneficial." That's a rabbit-hole, but it seems kinda on-point for this series, since Frieren is essentially only starting to mature emotionally.

Ryan

Would you get along with Frieren if you knew her in real life? I’m kinda in love with her like Himmel is… but that’s just me.

Once again doing everything EXTRA on the clothing animation. Loved the dance scene too

Sunny

Has anyone else noticed that we get a lot of Frieren butt shots where she's bending over? And there's only more to come

Josh Bowers

Wooooo, more translations! Sein's name means 'to be', which I think fits his overall chill vibe. I know I'm a bit late with this translation, but I took a break and did some other stuff and just caught up a couple days ago.

As I live and breathe

That moment when he's fretting about what to do and he just decides to trust Frieren, and then she doesn't even need any explanation, just one shots the plant instantly. IT'S SO GOOOOOOD

Sunny

Fern is dual-specializing in bakerycraft and perversion

Rekway

High special defence doesn't mean much against curveball Meteo. Fern be like: "I'll save that hand for later." Complete subversion of expectations, right? Everyone expected a repeat of Stark's situation, where the Dad belittles the younger son, amd Stark would step in to change it, but in this case the Dad is praising and encouraging him so much it's affecting his progress. Makes sense that the warrior (trains and uses physical abilities) would be much better at learning to dance than a mage (this setting doesn't even have somatic components to spells) whose best physical feat is being able to dual wield donuts.

Arakis

Really does feel like an extra long episode (in a good way) when they manage to fit two independent stories into one like this. Also cool to finally see some Priest spells

Rekway

Ah yes, the episode Stern set sale!
