Same, not ready to write her off as "evil character," though I still am holding out hope for the demons so...

2024-05-21 04:57:04 +0000 UTCInteresting. I agree this show is an 11/10 regardless of action or not. But I loved Sein lol. You don't even remember his name so he clearly didn't leave an impact on you. Most people really liked his character, as did I. I'm very excited for him to come back into the story in the future. I do agree however that Sein's introduction episode is probably one of the "worst" episodes of the series so far even though it's still a 8 or 9/10 episode for me. This show is just goated.

2024-05-21 03:49:18 +0000 UTCIt's not the same thing but it reminds me of King Fu Hustle with the main character getting sold what seems like a fake martial arts tome. Maybe if Stark had listened he might have gotten something!

I liked him when he was on the squad, but I just didn't really feel anything for his story either way. Every single other part of this series, especially this episode, is an 11/10 for me regardless of if there's action or not

2024-05-21 03:42:50 +0000 UTCAt 15:48, the old man is telling Stark about the concept of "mu" or "mushin," the absence of any barriers or conscious thought that would get in the way or hold back people from their pure, raw potential. That's the same concept highlighted in S3 of Demon Slayer with Mu-ichiro, the mist hashira, and in general it's the go-to trope for warriors reaching the pinnacle of achievement. I feel like that whole scene *must* be a reference to a specific series, but I don't know what it is. I really love how Frieren subverts it here, though, by making it out to be the ramblings of a lonely stranger, haha.

2024-05-20 05:56:56 +0000 UTCI really like that Richter’s name is so on the nose. Given that he controls earth and earthquakes are measured with the Richter scale.

2024-05-20 01:12:42 +0000 UTCTwo days in a row? Yessir. I love this episode and I think it’s somewhat underated cause there isn’t any big action scenes or anything. I just love all the character interactions.
